Yes you are right . with a covering at the back of the driver which can be rolled up.

Hi Replace this to the original position, Platform will take more load then side panels, because you don't have a roll bar next to the B pillar this pipe acts as a roll bar in case of rollover.

Raj is amongst your best bets for a free flow exhaust.

1. Ask him for a "silent" free-flow. Its a myth that every freeflow exhaust needs to sound like a sports car. It's all in the muffler. You can have the performance advantage of a free flow, without the loud sound. Since you intend to use your Gypsy for OTRs, its probably best this way.

2. Ask him to design the pipes for low-end torque. Forget mid-range & top-end, you need the best power delivery you can get at low rpms in the Gypsy.

Karizma
Your fuel consumption depends on the weight of your right foot.
If you continue to drive like you currently do then your FE will remain the same (it may even increase - higher low end power = lesser gear change)
Cheers

Mine is a full exhaust.

few updates done to my Gypsy .
1. installed free wheeling hubs
2. Changed front seats to Baleno LXI ones ( got it at a good price )
3. Installed a new OE steering wheel as mine was totally in bad condition ( surprisingly its just 500 bucks )
4. Installed latest Maruti omni mirrors .

Will upload pics of the seats soon .
