Xtreme Power'd Land Rover Discovery "The GoldSpec"

I have been busy doing Quite a few jeeps and gypsy's and it had been a long time since i tackled yet another land rover,
So i took up this project from banglore, and started building this green land rover discovery 97, in my style
The below picture is a landrover disco done by me last year

Have nearly finished her and shall post pictures today itself,
final touches are still remaining like skid plate painting, fire extinguisher, mud flap customization etc,

had taken her testing during a small previous otr as well

Whats the purpose of the ropes from roof to bonnet? Are they to cut away foilage and bushes which can foul the windscreen? If so, how effective is such an attachment.

Not to cut. It's basically to slide away bigger branches up and above the roofline.

Allan,

Can you give more gyaan on how to calculate what gauge and diameter of pipes to use for the roll cage? Also are you cold bending the pipes?

I remember seeing her in action during the OTR. Was fabulous!

Really liked the color on the Discovery.
Also the painted boards look better compared to the earlier Landy discovery.
