To Buy or Not to Buy!! Bitten again by Gypsy bug -Jeep Captain

Friends,
I just came across this Gypsy which is abandoned in a backyard of a warehouse rusting in peace for months.

May be most of you already know that I have already done-up another Gypsy in similar condition.
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/4x4-ve...epcaptain.html

But this one's condition looks even worse than my former project which makes it more interesting and challenging for me.

Dont have much details about the year model. I was told the owner bought it for restoring it and started the work. Pulled apart the engine gearbox, seats, soft top and many other things. But then lost interest or because of lack of funds and shelved the project. But interestingly he claims all the documents are upto date which I am yet to see.

I am still not sure its a MG410 or MG410W (Wide Track). The body looks like MG410W but front axle esp the free wheeling hubs indicate that it could be a MG410 (Narrow track). I've asked him for more pics and also to confirm the same.

Asking price is reasonable for s Gypsy in such condition but I cannot reveal it until the deal is done.

I am still wating for more details but I have some pics.. For me it looks like a really interesting project! But the question is do I need another Gypsy?

So I am in a dilemma, Should I buy or not??

See the pics
Awaiting comments and feedback.

Shibu

Just one question, how do you remote control all these builds. Me inspite of being 10 kms away from the garage has huge issues with lack off time and parts :(

Jaggu, Dont know how many times I have heard this question so far . I have some good friends,a bro, a bunch of reliable garages and mechs back home who help me to do my projects & I have been doing it since last 10-12 years. So I manage it with a digital camera few people and ofcourse the internet. Sounds interesting huh!! Jeep/Gypsy rebuild via internet??

Did i read it correctly? Incidentally, in Malayalam there is a saying "Kurukkante kannu eppozum kozhikoottil thanne" this implies a Fox/Wolf/Jackal has always his eyes set on the chicken pens. The same is applicable to JC who has his eyes set on Jeeps and Gypsies.

GO ON!

This thread is on here to tease us and write lengthy stuff which will not have any effect on JeepCaptains thought process.

He WILL buy it and WILL rebuild it. We are going to waste our time speculating

Thank you Raj, I've decided to go for it but not the owner. Keeping fingers crossed. This will not be restored as stock like last time. I have some exciting plan/design in my mind. Yes pics and updates will be flowing as usual.
