You really need to change the tyre.

Nice paint job.

Hey Hrishi,

No reply since long? Also what about my earlier query? Have you bought it from Yash Motors near Riverside Honda?

Anyways I saw some more 550s this Sunday there including the one which has same color as you have on your Jeep.

Hi Hrishi,

Nice Jeep that you have got here.

Looks good.

Why we are finding many people selling their highly restored vehicles in the end & opting for new Thar??..

There could be many reasons for doing that may be they were not satisfied with the outcome, if not they might be done with their Jeep even though it performs well, may be they are looking for more than their jeeps, may be they are looking for new gen machine.

All these while before Thar the only thing in JEEP segment was to either buy a new MM540 or Major else restore a old jeep, but now Thar coming up with a bang, people started finding new gen machines in this segment, earlier the one who wanted betterment and can afford in SUV segment used to either buy Scorpio or Safari and move one but now with Thar JEEP user are finding it tempting hence buying this.

There is one peculiar situation where people might look for new jeep (which at time happens with me) while restoring a jeep you got through many things, many surprises, feel good factors, disappointments etc you are very occupied for those few months with the jeep once it is done there is this gap you go through where your involvement with the jeep is no more except driving then you start missing something, feel like to do something else, either restore another jeep or buy another jeep.

Re: MM 550 xd Hrishi

I have been driving my two original Thars so I do not know what has been going on with the Jeep scene. The Jeep world has passed me by.

Are MM550 Army disposal Jeeps still available? Is the Indian Army still buying MM550s new?

I am getting that old urge to tinker four-by-four wise. Wanna find an MM550 carcass, plonk a big ole under square high torque diesel in it, put some
big meaty tyres on it and go chase Golden Eagles around the big hills here.
