Hi Sanjay,
Very Neatly done Jeep and I am sure what efforts you have put in to done this Jeep.
I was out of action here in TB for some time due to my personal commitments but now I will be following your thread keenly.
What about the new catch ? It is still in Pune or taken it to Mumbai. If you feel any issue let me know . I have a good resource in state ministry of Home which will ease out all Police issues or any "unwanted influences" . All the best !!
Tarkesh
Hi Tarkesh,
Thanks!! I know you were busy. There was no issue and everything is settled.
The new catch is with a lucky friend who is enjoying it.
Sanjay

Your jeep is coming out very well. What material did you use for the roll cage Can you give a cost break up?
I'm sure that your Jeep will turn out to be a big inspiration as I do up mine. Keep us posted!

Sanjay,
when you uploads/attach images and come back to write (at text box), just select one by one image from above "attachment/pin" symbol and write line in between them.
Let me know if this helps.
Hi Sanjay,
Looking very very nice. Your Jeep is shaping up very well. As asked by Coloneljasi, what materials are you using and from where are you getting this done.
Get rid of your rear number plate it looks too BIG.
It was good frustrating fun geting this roll bar done :)
Get the snorkel done now
Hey Sanjay,
You didn't called back for attachment thing, did you got or haven't tried. :)
Have a look on this link, pictorial guide

for uploading image and writing.
BTW, Jeep is looking macho now.
Thanks,
Vishal.
@
coloneljasi and
Desimosedici
Thanks!
Myself and David both are doing this work together and its not completed yet.
So price cost break up we will share with you all definitely when work will complete.
The material is seamless pipe (Made in France)
We used 60.30 mm OD 4 mm thickness pipe for four points rear part of the roll cage and
for front part and rock slider, we used 42 mm OD 4mm thickness pipe.
The thickness of mounting plate is 5 mm.
Welding we used are both TIG and MIG.
We got this material from wholesale market of steel & metal ( its called DARUKHANA) next to Ray Road station Mumbai.
Personally we went to this market and bought 2 feet long small pieces of both sizes in 3mm thickness and tried to bend it on COLD BENDING machine and failed.
We got crumples on the 3mm thickness pipe. So bender suggested to use 4 mm pipe and finally its works without getting any crumples.

Yes David, the number plate is too Big :) ( for army's 10 digit no. )
Right now I can make it small in photoshop :D but in future it may get crack during my first OTR.
Then I will do the plate in small 3 digit no. by embossing process.
Yeah, every Sat-Sun we are with Jeep things only, getting calls from our home ministers that they are angry with us. But our vehicles are coming out in good shape so this frustrating fun is enjoyable.
David, for roll cage bending work I went to the bender's workshop for more than 15 times and requested and he took more than 2 months to start bending work which was only 3-4 hrs job.
So I think he will take at least a month for these 2 bends of snorkel.
Cheers!!

I was wondering what you were on about there for a while.
Must have been thinking out loud, 'cause my wife poked me and commented that I was getting too stuck up on this jeep thing. I was still laughing when she stormed out of the room!
Like Jamie foxx (might) say: Blame it on the Jeep.
