I am happy with the stuff happening at Dakshin Honda, and whatever mess they do, they own it up too and solve it too.

Hope to solve the mess by myself, its a pity that an exclusive outlet put me to this!!

Hi Lalu,

It's indeed not acceptable, raise a voice, give them the feedback.

Cheers
Raghu

today i visited the new 3M exclusive showroom in Pune.
My brand new linea was suffering from swirl marks all over.
First the 3M guys at place X tried removing the swirls, they couldnt. then the meguiars guys tried it, they couldn't. i tried hard myself with rotary buffer as well as orbital i couldn't.

I was not expecting these guys too will be able to remove them. with very low expectations i went to the new 3M showroom, basically to try removing swirls and mainly to buy the Meguiar products.

the shop is owned by Mazahir Shergadwala who is a distributor of 3M products since 13 years and has a lots of experience. also the supervisors and the technicians at this showroom are very well trained by 3M and they know their job very well.

they are thorough professionals and do very minute detailing.

i asked them to do a small patch for me first. they did it with full efforts and i was shocked to see all the swirls have vanished. i was jumping in my pants. i immediately asked them to do the entire car.

the whole set up is so good with different bays for washing and treatments.
washing is done using a foam wash.

they take enough time to first tape the whole car - this is a very important step in professionalism.

then in the spot lights which are all over the showroom they inspect the car and then do the entire treatment.

i give them 100% full marks. i have never experienced such a minute detailing ever. :thumbs up

This showroom is in Viman Nagar just near the maruti showroom and Gigaspace IT park.

let the pictures do the talking.

1. the swirl marks all over

2. The professional masking process. Check out the guys with gloves and masks. very professional.

final pic of the patch they tried as demo. swirl free finish.

3. The final outcome - a happy customer clap::Cheering:

The bangalore one did not do any of this masking.

If 3M is monitoring the process why is it different?

How much did this cost amit ?

Can I expect a better quality of work for CR70 front film installation or is it all the same?

Do they spray under the hood or is it that the horn is mounted in a vulnerable place (like grille opening)

is it even necessary for buffing and polishing. But agreed that there should be a standard process otherwise whats teh point of a franchise system.

I got the sun film installation done for my Figo. Quality was good. There was an issue with the film on one glass but was promptly replaced the next day.

They get a guy from outside who is a regular installer that comes and fits.

If you know a good guy who can do it in a dust free area then it's the same.

The premium charged was 1K over normal car accessory shops. 3.2K for all sides of my Figo but no front. I'll go for front during summer.

Awsome amit. how much did it cost?

Seems then I'll drive down to Pune to get my problem fixed.
I'm patiently waiting for the BLR one to provide me the solution still.

WOW Amit!!!

This finish and clarity on the car is awesome!clap: Definitely going there next weekend to get my car done!

If possible, could you please: post the charges for the treatment and also the contact person name/number so i dont get there to find a lot of cars waiting before me.

Regards,
Kiran.

I had been to the 3M showroom before my car was delivered to check the pricing for Sun Film. I was interested in the CS 20 series for the Sun Film. Here are few quotes that I received from various dealers including 3M:

Car Shringar, J. C. Road: 3,400
Add on Accessories, , J. C. Road: 3,600
Infiniti, Richmond circle: 3,400
3M Outlet, HSR Layout: 4,000

I checked the sun films personally at few dealers where the work was being done and found the logo on the film to be little wacky, as in did not look like original. Did the same at 3M shop and it was perfect. Have used 3M sunfilm in my previous car for over 3 years, happy with the performance.

Got the Sunfilm done, CS 20 for my Dzire on 26th Jan for Rs.4,000.

Feedback: Sidhu is the man to be contacted (9740520357). The staff is very polite and courteous, seems they have been through some serious customer orientation program. Infact during my first visit Sidhu thoroughly explained the various sunfilms that they had. As per him the sunfilms are done inside the workshop and in A/C....not sure how that helps, indoor certainly does. He also took me to their workshop which is in the basement to show how under chassis coating was done. Impressed with this service. He confirmed all work was carried out by professionals trained at 3M.

Moment of Truth: This is when reality kicks in. I was ok with the service, not very happy. The guys who carried out the work were in utmost hurry. They were certainly not from 3M and should have been outsourced from J.C.Road. The entire 3M team are found in uniform unlike these 2.....they were like "Kya re phatte" types from J.C.Road. I personally supervised the work that took little over than 1 hour to finish. Had to tell them on few occasions to handle the car properly like pulling the seat in the front or pushing it backwards. Had to point out few bubbles that were left, which were later rectified. Had I not seen it then later would have been difficult to remove those. Sidhu said 2-3% of bubble formation is normal (never mentioned this earlier), the work was done indoors however the area was dusty since there was no complete closure, A/C was there but never switched on, on questioning Sidhu could only smile :Frustrati.

My take is that the place is ok, great customer service, don't expect to be delighted. My comments are strictly for the sunfilms.

The price is definitely high than what you get outside, however peace of mind is guaranteed when you have several fakes around.

I will go back for the under chassis coating (5 yr) later. Not sure if I will get the exterior treatment done from them, I'm more inclined in getting it done through Nirmal.

For the benefit of fellow T-BHPians I'm uploading the brochure in full that details all the services offered with prices. Hope you find it useful. Have cropped few portions of the brochure for better visibility. You will see the prices listed as xxx/xxx/xxx it simply means the price is related to S/M/L (Small, Medium and Large).

Wanted to add one more thing, the CS 20 comes with 3 yr warranty and a warranty card has been issued for the same from 3M. The cooling is much better now.

I see quite a lot of polishes and compounds used by them!(Perfect-It III line)

Most of which are super hard to acquire!!(usually have to import)

Amit can you inquire as to whether they have those for sale or not!?(Also waffle and wool pads)

3M has some really good machine polishes and pad system if you can get your hands on em.

I've been at BLR 3M last friday. Sidhu and Krishna (Technical Service Manager from 3M) sorted out 95% of the issues.

Happy again :)
