Re: Reliance AutoZone - HSR Layout (Bangalore)

I would suggest SPAR for getting the wax, polish and perfumes. They give it for at-least 20 to 30 rs less than the quoted MRP price .

They stock mainly Formula 1 and Methods products.

Yes, the Old address mentioned in the site is in correct as it is no more open, as quoted by jealousdiamond.

The newly opened Realience mart in Aundh is now a big land mark over there. It has a very good collection of accessories in the Autozone section in the first floor.

Its very easy for my better half now to locate when ever she misses me beside her while shopping the groceries list, as I am always in that Autozone area .

Excatly , products sold at Spar are for sure 100% genuine (personal experience)

Most of the same stuff that is available over there can be bought from a good accessory shop @ much lesser price .
Not sure why they have increased the prices .
Well with local accesories shop , getting fakes is a sure shot thing.
The auto accesories market is full of fakes . They look more or less the same when bought , but when used are found to be fake . The Shaldans / Mr Popeye / Waxes are the commonly seen fakes .

Better to buy from branded stores such as Reliance , Spar , just for the peace of mind

Re: Reliance AutoZone - HSR Layout (Bangalore)

I went to the HSR Autozone sometime ago because someone has reversed into the front of my car and broke the registration plate and I ran with the broken plate for a long time. I got tired of cops pulling me over to tell me and try to fine me (or so I think) for a defective number plate. The guy does a decent job. So while I waited to get that fixed, I strolled into the Autozone (OT: Any collaboration etc with AutoZone US chain) and found they do have a wide range of products but not much variety. For instance, they dont have many options for floor mats, which was what I was looking at.
Another OT: So many members from HSR. T-BHP HSR Meet? LOL

Re: Reliance AutoZone - HSR Layout (Bangalore)

My experience with the HSR layout autozone has been underwhelming at best. They have all stale stock (been there 3 times) and they are not interested in winning a customer.

Case in point -- I am looking for a Dupont Tyvek body cover for my vehicle and they have told me thrice that "it will be available in the next week". Nothing so far. One call to the Basavangudi outlet and they take down my phone number & call me back to inform that it has been arranged for and I can go and buy it! The HSR layout outlet is closest to where I live but in the end will have to get the cover from Basavangudi.

Nilesh why don't you purchase it directly from VW workshop and it costs Rs. 3500 inclusive of taxes, last time when I purchased in Jan'12.

Re: Reliance AutoZone - HSR Layout (Bangalore)

Went over there last Saturday to get new windscreen wipers for my Alto. Compared to my previous visits about 2 years back (just as they opened) I felt they had more options on alloys this time. However all other items I felt options were less this time. Microfibre cloth which they were having stock of was of some unknown brand, even car shampoo / wax also found very few in stock.

Re: Reliance AutoZone - HSR Layout (Bangalore)

Has anyone got a wax job done here? I took the snapdeal voucher for car wax job for Rs.275 (supposedly costing 1700). When I talked to the autozone guys, they say that they do the waxing without a car wash. This puzzles me.

Though I been to this place couple of times was mostly for buying some stuff (wiper, polish, battery etc), so not able to comment on waxing part. However last time I was near billing counter one person had come with snapdeal voucher for wax job. Autozone people were saying that it will be done on weekdays only (guess he mentioned wednesday only, dont remember). So do call and check before you go in case you plan so.

I went there a couple of days back. They have 3 brands of MF cloth -
1) Sonax
2) Jopasu
3) In house brand (forgot the name)

I picked up one Sonax and one of the in house brand. No percievable difference between the both.

I had purchased the in house brand after using a 3M one. I found it nothing short of crappy. It just didn't work like a Micro Fibre should! Not sure the quality has changed since!

Re: Reliance AutoZone - HSR Layout (Bangalore)

Visited reliance autozone couple of times and picked following items.

1. Found a 5 tonn tow rope and bought and also picked up a puncture repair kit.
2. In my first visit purchased a 250 PSI tyre inflator , I asked them about the 300 PSI one which I saw somewhere else and they denied but on 2nd visit found they have a 300 PSI as well , They could have just told me it is out of stock.

Good thing about this place is that they leave you alone and salesperson does not tail you.

Re: Reliance AutoZone - HSR Layout (Bangalore)

Recently, I bought V-Kool front and side shades for Dzire. Yes, this purchase was after ban order. This was not for me I had to send it to somewhere. Also, in this purchase there was MayMyIndia GPS receiver. There are couple of other things. Total bill came to Rs. 28K.

Best part is they humbly agree to provide phone - support for installation of V-Kool tints. Also, they gave us number of regional V-Kool official for any problem if we face.

They gave me good discount on it and it was pleasure to shop it there. Only thing they insisted me 3- 4 times to become member of Reliance Points Card. Actually, I hate such cards and do not bother such requests.

Re: Reliance AutoZone - HSR Layout (Bangalore)

I visit this place to only to pick Jopsu dusters but make it a point to browse for any interesting stuff. I have found their stock to be old and defective. Last week i was looking for window sun shades and the only piece available was missing the suction cups. Same thing with all the mobile holders.

I asked for K&N stock replacement for my Ikon and got a reply that "not available". Spotted a sun curtain similar to the ones fitted in luxury cars. The sales guys says, "cannot be fitted, have to screw blah blah"

I find their sales staff to be not interested in selling anything and the choices are also limited. Their pricing seems to good though.
