You may have noticed that Mr. Sandeep Katari has been posting a few issues under 'Share Photos' recently. He started a small but sympathetic car museum in Jaunapur, just south of New Delhi a few years ago. The Austin Clifton tourer showing here is one of the gems to be found here: Mr. Sandeep Katari reports: I do not have a website, this collection is more a labour of love by a man of not many means, who has been at it for the last 20 years. I have lots of interesting memorabillia, parts, lights photographs pertaining to automotive history. We have managed to put it up neatly displayed at a place in Jaunapur, Mehrauli, New Delhi. Much to the disbelief and doubts of my immediate family and friends, I try hard to sustain and run it without any commercial interest. The place is about two years old, anybody who is automotively inclined and old stuff interests them is most welcome to visit my humble place. I can be contacted on : 09873033111, for directions, timing of visit etc.

There was a nice little article in the Gulf News Friday Magazine of 28 Sep about Diljeet Titus and his cars.

Here is a copy. Has anyone been to the museum and see all the 80 someting cars ? Would love to see pics of the Minerva and Auburn etc

Shri Jawaharlal Nehru on his visit to the erstwhile USSR in 1955.

The Volo Auto Museum, Volo, Illinois, USA, will auction this armour plated Rolls Royce on November 9, 2012. It was property of the British Embassy in the US of A and is thoroughly documented. The 1979 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith II has the distinction of carrying Lady Diana, Princess of Wales, and Prince Charles during the princess’ first-ever visit to the U.S. in November 1985.The car's side windows, also bullet-proof, are sealed against possible toxic gas exposure, and the exterior trim is fitted with intercoms.Documents show in excess of $200,000 was spent armoring the Silver Wraith II, and the process took three years. In fact, videotape footage has been discovered showing the statuesque princess and Prince Charles in the car approaching the White House, where they met then-President Ronald Reagan and Nancy Reagan. The car is valued US $ 2 million.

Bombay's Fiats aren't the only taxis in trouble. Reportedly London's iconic black cabs are also facing issues.

Sad to read about it Karl. One of the last bastions of the British car industry seems to be now falling apart. I have posted about this information on another thread.
