You can try JBL GTO 936 "6 x 9" speakers costing 4.7k. Really good speakers at the price.

if you need bass and dont have money for a sub a 6x9 would be your best bet. I suggest checking out 6x9 from JBL (936) or the Blau ODx or Alpine (690A).

Hari Rama, i myself am using the JBL GTO 936's for the rears and components for the front in my esteem. I do not have a sub but still the JBL's don't make me feel that i am missing a sub. They sure do produce some good amount of bass. Hope it helps.

Cheers

OK JBL GTO 936......I read the specs at www.jbl.com it says its rating is 4 ohms, 100 watts rms, 300 watts peak. Now my kenwood player amp rating is 50x4.

So how does these 50x4 and the speaker specs are supposed to be matched?

PS: Ignorance is bliss...

I just did an install myself on my cousins Xing and used JBL GTO 936 in the rear and found them better and clearer than the Pioneers. Pioneers are pure shrill.

Actually, i avoid suggesting JBL products upfront for ethical reasons.
But personally, i havent come across a better 6X9 (at that price) than the GTO936e.

JBLs are good . PIo gives good boom boom + ting tilll tishhh etc thansk to the 4-5 tweeters. Why not ask Navin the way to cut the tweeters and use the woofers and maybe plus one or two tweeters

You dont have to cut the tweeters just disconnect them. Few coax allow you to really cut the tweeter assembly off.
