Re: Internet Radio In Your Car

I also like to listen Internet Radio. I have Internet Radio app on my Nokia E6. With 3G it works like a charm. High bit rate radio stations have amazing clearity and sound.
I am waiting to get my Jazz this saturday. Then I will test this in there.

It's good to see positive reviews of tunein. Let me know if you guys want to add a station that you usually listen over Internet, but is not available within tunein. Will add them.

Re: Internet Radio In Your Car

Well I personally feel that the fun of listening to radio is the hissing sound, the break in connectivity, the disturbance apart from the surprise factor in the list of songs that will be aired.

Re: Internet Radio In Your Car

Internet radio is one thing that I have been carrying for long in my mobile. Have taken it to our android television since 5 years, and now it is a trusted companion in the car Smartplay Studio System via Android Auto.
Benefits -
  • No ads (at least in the stations I tune to)
  • No RJ discussions
  • Continuous content that keeps on the surprise
  • Channels suiting one's choice

I have started driving my own car 2 years now, and so far there has been three Kolkata-Bangalore trips, and many small ones.
1GB 4G data is sufficient for a 12hour long radio streaming, and I have seen steady 3G/4G coverage in Karnataka/Andhra Pradesh/West Bengal state and national highways.
Good times.
