ICE system shops @ Kochi

Hi folks,

Does anyone know where I can get an ICE system setup in Kochi. I also need pointers to shops where I could get an amp (Pioneer 6100F) and a subwoofer.

Thanks.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED....

Ask for Anish's brother "ZUHIMI"... he is THE MAN for installs!!.... I met him the other day .. he took over THREE DAYS over a Santro INstall!! (an all BOston/Boston Pro install) ...( Wish I can see JK's face right now!!.. lol) ... You can well guess his attention to detail.... He is a busy man... so you will have to book him in advance... if you want him to handle your car that is..

I think they are also Gunbir & JB's authorised guys ... maybe they can add their views...

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I will be taking it to Emperor the coming weekend.
Will also check out 'Stereotonics'

btw, this is my almost finalized config.

Head Unit:
Pioneer HU DEH-p5750mp [Already have]
href="http://www.pioneer.com.sg/storefront/ProductDetail/default.asp?ProductId=236&CatId=2,24,32

Has 3 RCA preouts.

Amplifier:
a. Pioneer 6100F 4 channel bridgeable amp
60W x 4 (4ohm)/150W x 2 (4ohm)/75W x 4 (2ohm) (continuous power)
href="http://www.pioneer.com.sg/storefront/ProductDetail/default.asp?ProductId=301&CatId=,2,26

or

b. JBL 4 channel bridgeable amp (I think the model number was 60.4?)

Subwoofer:
a. JBL 1200T
or
b. Pioneer 10" (no idea about the model number)

For speakers, I already have the Pioneer 'TS-E1076' in the front and 'TS-E1695' in the rear. Not sure if I should replace the front speakers with components.

Your comments and suggestions for improvements are glady welcome.

Thanks.

Hi folks,
I am finally done with the ICE setup (for now )

Here are the details of the components,
Car: Swift Vxi

Headunit:
Pioneer HU DEH-p5750mp [Old]
http://www.pioneer.com.sg/storefront...&CatId=2,24,32

Amplifier:
Alpine 4 channel MRP-F240
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-9IB6Bu3...search=MRPF240

Front speakers: [Doors]
Alpine SPS-170A
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-9IB6Bu3...0a&search=170a

Rear speakers: [Doors] [Old]
Pioneer TS-E1695

Subwoofer:
Alpine SWE-1242 (12" 4 ohm Sub)
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-9IB6Bu3...p?I=500SWE1242

I bought the Amp, Front speakers and Sub from Emperor, Kochi. Had met Anish there and he was kind enough to explain a few technical jargons. Great ppl there, i am truly impressed with the professional approach.

The entire setup took close to 3 hours. Once it was done, it was 8 PM and I didn't have any life left in me to enjoy the setup thoroughly. I'll be taking the baby out tomorrow for a test ride along with my favourite music cds.

Will update you all tomorrow with the quality of the setup and a few pics. My first impression says it Rocks

I whole heartedly recommend anyone wanting to do their ICE setup to go and meet the folks at Emperor.

Thanks.

Emperor is a good shop indeed. But their attitude is horrible.
Zuhemi is a boss when it comes to installations and his Honda City is proof for that. He has the very best talent in audio installations. But there should be some good behaviour shown to the customers too. Is'nt it? Respect is something one should never expect from Emperor. That's what they think.

Last week, I had an installation done by him for Palio. here is the config:

Alpine HU
Alpine 4 Channel Amp
Alpine Monoblock Amp
Alpine Component Speaker system (Front)
5.25" woofers and Tweeters with crossovers.
Alpine Component Speaker system (Rear)
6" woofers and tweeters with crossovers.
2 Alpine Type R 12" Subwoofers
Farad Digital capacitor
Led lighting for Subwoofers

All the above setup was tastefully done by Zuhemi. He made a custom layout for the boot and finished it with Black-red carpets to match the interiors. Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!! is something least I can say. It just blew my mind after I saw the job. Nobody would have done it so nicely. The car looks killer and sound is just perfect. It produces ample amount of Bass without any jarrings and the mids and highs are well balanced too. This whole process made me very happy. The car should be seen and heard to believe. The whole thing costed more than a lakh but it is money worth spent it seems.

But now C'mon guys. The Installation I got was top class! And the way they treated me (even after no bargaining done) was disappointing.

Going back to them for another installation?
mmmmmm mmmmm.... I'll think twice. And you know the reason!

There's a guy named Antony (St. Antony's! to be precise) in Karimpatta cross road, Pallimukku, Kochi. He is a very good guy and does nice installations too. He is the guy to go for if you're looking for SPL ! ! and want loads of it. His installations sometimes lack SQ, But he can give you a very good SPL system which can shake the neighbours' houses. A word of caution here: When buying stuff from him, make sure it's genuine. B'coz, He also stocks low priced FAKES too. There're still people who wants them and he is forced to sell them too.

Anyway, He is a man with high quality manners and will work for you in the nights too (Forget Emperor for just this). He works quiet slow but will keep you entertained in the process. You can ask all your doubts and he will be very happy to answer.

For all those who wants to do an ICE setup in their cars! Visit this shop before you zero in your choices.
