hu- pio 5950
front- jbl 6.5"compos
real- jbl 6.5"coax
amp- jbl 2ch or 4ch cs series (plz advice)
sub- jbl cs 12"

i enquired couple of shops.... all of them were insisting me to go for ovals rather than 6.5" for the rear.....

since you got a sub stick to the 6.5"
get the 4ch. amp
have you considered (read as heard) other brands before deciding on JBL?

along with JBL try Blaupunkt, Illusion and Hertz for Speakers
and Pioneer, Blaupunkt, and Kenwood for amps.

Hmmm.. So your setup will basically consist of :
HU
Front Comps
Rear Sub
Amp ( is this necessary to drive the sub ) ?

Thanks a lot All,

Navin, i have a question for you... I have decided to go for the JBL GTO607C components for the front and rear door pads and i also wouldnt mind getting a Bass tube , but for my 5.1 config ill need an amp to drive the Center channel and theBass Tube. I dnt need too much of thumping with the tube, and also do you suggest i go for a 2-channel or a4 channel amp. If so which brand of bass tubes and which amp do i go for.

out of the box I have one small question. The sun control film i have put for my car is a Solar Gard High performance 205 tint film and i could see tiny bubble like particles(not taht big but on close investigation it could be made out and the guy who put it took 4500 bucks for that. when i told him about the bubbble like particles he said its common to all cars and no matter wat we did it would come. so could you please tell me how true this is.
NB: i know this topic is out of coverage, but please excuse me and enlighten me as to what nedds to be done. Thanks

Hi..

I have a swift. Am to get an audio system for it now. And am superbly confused. Have tried to become familiar with the options on brands available for them and did some research by visiting the dealers as well.
I am a total novice in this field.

I have shortlisted the following set up, where my budget is till 25K.And am confident of not increasing it any further :) Have read the posts which have led to major budget changes!!

Blau Hamburg, GT 693 oval speakers, GT 663 for front/ In car 122, all blaupunkt.

Is the Blau HU good in performance? whats the general review like?

Do I need an amplifier too? I had come to conclusion with discussion with people that a small car might not necessarily need amp.

Would appreciate your help in deciding.

Also please suggest a good place in Mumbai in Sion to New Bombay belt to get the fittings done.

Thanks

they atart at aboue 3K per pair for coax and 5K per pair for components.

eact prices vary and the model numbers are too complex for my feeble mind.

Proper installation of Film won't give out bubbles.after sticking the sun film in the window using soap solutions.they dried with Heater. If they didn't do well.defn bubble problem might be arised.

Thanks Karthik. But the Guy insists that there will be no car without tiny air bubbles, but i told him i have seen quite a lot of cars withouth them.I have made a complaint with the Dealer Mandovi Mtrs as it is they who have outsourced their accessories to a third party and that guy is screwed up all this. They have said that they will replace it, but will there be any problems with the glass after the film has been replaced and redone??

Shouldn't be any problem. I got my sunfilm replaced because of air bubbles at the end, which use to scrub the film whenever I roll my window down. Got it done at Bimal Whitefield. Get a single sheet film and make sure that there are no air pockets before taking delivery and dont roll the glass down for a day. It worked for me

Well i am a silent observer of this site and absolutely love it. Time has come for my 2 day old swift to get I.C.E.D. Budget <=25k, not more than that have already done a 15k to 20k .., but can just alter it to 30k somehow. My like music to be not so bright and tight bass. I made up my mind for the following choices and the quotes i got are as :
SPEAKERS
GT5 650C-4050/-
GTO 607-5100/-
GTO 1264-4800/-

AMP,i was going through the JBL leaflet and found this amp
GTO 1004-11700/-

All the above with bill and 1 year warranty.

HEAD UNIT
Pioneer 5950 or 5990 don't remember - 5400 without B&W and 8400 with B&W

Now the dilemma is going through a lot of threads i got to know about Hertz and Illusion ice, went to search in my city but to no avail , i could not find them anywhere.

Guru's kindly tell me if this setup is ok and any further help regarding Hertz or Illusions would be awesome. I may come over to New Delhi next month for the auto expo so have a choice of getting my ice from there also but would prefer lucknow.
