parth let me get this straight. your budget is 11K and you want a Hu and speakers with bass.

I'd recommend that you get a Sony or Pio Hu for 6K and spend 4.5K on a pair of 6x9 (JBL's CS series comes to mind when working on tight budget). Hopefully your intaller can work out a good MDF rear deck and fit it all within 11K.

You will be sacrificing frount sound stage etc... but the advantage of this setup is that at a later date you can add a pair of good front speakers (budget 4-6K) and at an even later date add a 4 ch. amp (budget 7-8K) and then have a really killer system without throwing out any stuff you buy now.

Which JBL?
If you are talking about GTO, it's 300W. I would not let any wattage figures affect my judgement though.

Well the CS3169 and I think it's 275W.
Again these numbers make no difference. For 11K, you can get a mid HU and 4 speakers. In your maruti 800 you can fit a nice 4" coaxial. For the rear you can fit a 6X9.
Most people prefer JBL to pioneer speakers. You can also try alpine and a few blaupunkt models.

Parth, dont let wattage figures confuse you. they have been put there by the manufcturers to keep our friend LBM happy! :-) they serve little practical purpose.

420 watts that pioneer puts is actually PMPO.... dont let it misguide you... PMPO wattage rating are attained by a speakers only for split seconds....

always look at RMS or continous wattage of the speaker.... this rating is more realistic rating as it gives the continuous power output of a speaker.

regards,
ant.
