But ur budget is 70k.I mean all the components r related with each other. You cant use some low quality spk with high end amplifier/HU or vice-versa and expect to get good results.

Thats what our experts recommend most of the time.Quite often i have read them saying "its ur ears,ur money and ur choice...." Haven't you?
So You must get demo so that u can get best value for the money u r spending.

Even though i have never heard pio 160r but i can safely say these wont be up there with others brands which i and others like navin mentioned.
I would like to have views from navin,B&T,Gunbir and others.

If these r really good speakers, how come i never saw any expert recommending it?

What doc is saying is; when you're spending so much money, you could get more better speakers. And which one is better? Only you can listen and decide for you.
If I was in your place I'll look further than PIOs for speakers. If very much on budget, then JBL. If not, then DLS iridiums, Hertz, seas or mille!

crossover of the two models

pioneer

I think the pioneer one are much better made than the above one

I my self has been using the pioneer 160r component kit they are good speakers no doubt on that....and have any one else have listen to these componets we need those people comments......not of pioneer speakers...

If you have'nt heard any hertz speakers in action, then it'll be worth listening to them. I've found them far better than many other makes.
And dont get fooled by their ads! Hertz ads are not at all good and I mean the ones we get to see in India. Way to go in that department.
But speakers! Hertz simply deserve a salute. Even their DSK series are excellent to my poor ears!

Mugen! Are you getting all the Pioneer stuff with B&W???
If yes, then Kudos! Go further ahead with your 2nd config. If not, then you can choose whether you need B&W at all. If the answer is no again, then you can go for your 2nd config.
And if you want very nice sounding system with B&W (except Pio HU+adapter), Then dont think any further than the 1st option. Maybe, you can save some things for now and install it as the dough comes in.

BTW, I dont see any components in your 2nd config. What happened??

Mugen...

Pioneer is known for their electronics... Not for their speakers...

Always buy speakers from dedicated speak manufacturers .. you may be better off!

I , as a part of my research, have been surfing forums all over the world... no where have I seen this being mentioned - Pioneer woofers may be.. but never components.

Finally its your money and your ears.. which is why you use either your your EARS or whats between them - to decide !!!

Based on my research I know I WILL NOT buy the pioneer components and I have already bought thier HU - a P80RS (A total SQ set - Retails for 26 K in India - if you can find it that is!)
