the components speakers = Crossovers = Amplifier to drive them = More money invested...
Is it possible to coponents without the Amplifier and will it have an effect on the sound???
Components start from 5500 + and then x/o 's and amplifier will cost another 10 G's
wwwoooooooo....

Components speaker do NOT nessiciate the use of an amplifier. They do sound better with good amps (but then so do most speakers).

A component speaker is essentially a 4-6" woofer mated to a tweeter like your kicker tweeter via a crossover. yo already have 1/2 of a component set in your car.

Moving as much of the music up front helps move the soundstage up front as well and I find that nice. Others here prefer the soundstage from the back (maybe they like being on stage with the musicians behind them) others here prefer woofers in the rear and tweeters in the front (I've heard one install with 3 12" woofers in the rear and TS20 tweeters in the front). Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Hey Bavin..
I did call up the guy..he agreed to replace the Kicker with the component ...
what brand do u suggest...
he also said that components will sound great with an Amplifier and without it.. it gives 50 % of right potential of the components.
It will also cost about 5500 ad minus the kicker tweeters.
i agree ... that the sound does concentrate in the back...
what say???

Soundstage in the front is what I consider as the ideal thing to do. And there can be some who still like the sound at the back as NavinJi said. So what's your take Hercule???

BTW, NavinJIi, Sam, Khaadu etc...!!! Why those similar avatars??

Since you have DLS in the rear why not the same in the front? I am sure DLS will have something that fits.

Hey Herculepirate,

You Can Also Consider JBL GTO 607 Comps For Front.

Cheers,

I am gonna go for the Front stage sound....I dont like things happening behind my back...hahaha...
What do u mean by goign for DLS speakers in the front too...
Did u guys mean to say a DLS component system in the front or DLS Tweeters in the front.
Also I would need more suggestions on what Component system to go for....a few names and pro's and cons will be great
Also if i get this right....the component system consists of a High Freq Tweeter and a Mid Range Speaker and a Cross Over unit for freq split...
And in addition to this I also have the Rear DLS speakers...
is this piece of Info right??
Do i need an amplifier to drive....I really dont wanna go for an Amplifier...
too expensive...
Any takes on this post...
thanks for all the replies...
thanks

like Bavin ji and Sam bhai has insisted get a pair of dls in the front....If if your budget allow or in the later stage get a amp fixed to drive the speakers you would love the sound....but only if budget allow...

Ya it is a componet set but in this there are 3 drivers...

one midbass also known as woofer in context of a componet kit
one midrange...
one tweeter...

now the differnce betweent the normal 2-way and 3-way is that there is a dedicated driver for the mid range frequiences which is done by a midrange ....
here is a pic of a 2-way iridium

here is a pic of a 3-way...

here one can clearly see that there is a extra speaker that is a midrange..
