hi,

i have a friend who needs advice. he has a pio x904 amp and 2 305dvc subs.
wanted to ask that is it possible to connect the subs to the amp using all the vcoils? his installer said that he can fry his amp by connecting both the coils.
he is using the sub as svc i.e. only 1 coil per sub is connected(bridged). can 306dvc be also connected this way?

thanks

find a new installer

that amp can feed 2 subs provided teh amp sees 2 4ohms.

2x120W @ 4ohm

I think the installer is right the amp cannot take 2 ohms in bridge mode so the dvc with 4 ohms vc will not work in parllel as it will be 2 ohms but can work in series 8 ohms but the output will be very less....but the svc will be fine........

hi,

can those 2 subs be connected usig all the channels?(not bridged)1 coil on 1 channel will it sound better than using a single voice coil?
correct me if im wrong guys.isnt this amp 1 ohm stable? if it is then i dont think there should be a problem in using 2 305dvcs. if it cank please explain what this thing means(1ohm stable). and one last thing. iam seeing that alot of people are using sms language and slang. are we allowed to use it?
I dont think its a good idea because some people might not understand it.

audio gurus, im looking forward to your opinion.

thanks in advance

this can be done but not recommended as the matching of the gains of the two channel which are going in to the sub will be difficult to adjust....

the amp is not 1 ohms stable it is 2 ohms stable in 4 channel mode and 4 ohms stable in bridge mode.....

the latter series 944 is 1 ohms stable in 4 channel mode and 2 ohms stable in bridge mode....

I am talking about the SVC version of the sub not the DVC running with a single coil .... It is not recommended to run a DVC sub with its single VC.....

There are better option for 6.5k, the 904 was just 60 x 4 you can pass on this one bro.

hi lbm , can u suggest some other 4 channel amps between 6-8k.

JBL 75.4 if you can find one, there are many more JBL`s try them also, Pioneer and blau have few 4 channel
