Well, I use my iRiver with the 3.5mm to 2.5mm connector that I got with my iPaq. I dont flip open the face plate. It fits neatly.
One thing I noticed though is that I have to increase the volume on my player and also on HU to much higher levels. Anyone else have the same problems ?

First of all look for AUX volume or something like that on your HU. If tha is not the case then may be the cable you are using is not of good quality. And if you are not using any cable jst a connector is doing the job, then check Mp3's quality.

MX leads are easily available in delhi at chandini chowk.
