Transcend T sonic 2 GB mp3 player to Pioneer 6850

Please delete this thread if this has been discussed already, Tried searching, Could not find anything!

Well, I have these two with me, Is it possible to hook the MP3 player to the HU, Or any MP3 player to the HU??(For the benefit of those who have some other player)

Also Guys who are using IPOD - How is the Sound quality compared to Cd's? The player comes with Inbuilt Equalisers right? The HU will have presets like the way you want it to be, So how do you achieve a balance between the two?

Would appreciate your input team.

It is possible to connect your MP3 player (Or any MP3 player for that matter) to a 6850. It has 2 Aux ins. And one is located in the front itself. So, you can use a 3.5mm male connectors and get the job done!
Alternately you can use the rear Aux in for a permanent (and better) solution.

Regarding the quality, as LBM said!! You can opt for higher than CD quality too.

Equalizers in the player is better kept flat and use the HU for tuning according to my experiences.

the 6850 takes a 2.5mm plug in the front....and the ipod headphone is a 3.5mm one....the rear end one is a better solution when compared to the front one as one has to drop the face to connect it.... the rear one orignal converter comes near 3-4k but leave it you an get a chinese one for 1k or even less and if you can DIY here is the link.....

A 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable will also do the job. ts not too difficult to get such a cable. It will be available at nearly all electronics supplies shops. But as l_b_m said, you'll need to drop the plate to connect it.

yes ive done it infact i use it to cnnect an ipod or my phone to the 6850...all you need is a 2.5 mm to 3.5 mm cable which is easily available....try to get MX if possible i have an MX cable and it works well...

as suggested earlier keep the equalizers on ths mp3 player flat and tune it from you HU itself
