Hey Sam, gurus

The amp.(CS 60.4) that I have got installed in my car is being used to power the rear spkrs (GTO 937) & the base tube (JBL 10") & the front component spkrs (CS2165C) are getting the power from the HU..Is this an appropriate set up or the amp should be powering the front compos & the base tube?? I am getting good surround sound & rear spkrs are well powered though..I wonder if the front compos are getting enough power from the HU..though can't hear the front compos very well..

Will appreciate your views on the above set up.

Thanks & Rgds
Ash

So thanks for the query...it got it me thinking..

As regards to my HU from Pio..it is a 2007 model & have USB port for pendrive etc & Ipod ready as well..6850 was a 2006 model,a motorised one though but there have been problems reported with this model & infact have been withdrawn (? thats wot my dealer told me).
Well, even i am contemplating a 12" bass tube and i have heard only this one and kind of liked it. I am sure this would be a marked difference between them both. Also, there is no way you can store much stuff with this cylinder inside your boot . though you got plenty of space ( 500litres is it? ) I plan to detach it each time i go on the highway.

Surprised to know about 6850, till now mine is working awesome. Thats a pretty cool list of features for your HU. Enjoy !!!

Ash, I would have powered my fronts with the Amp and the rears via the HU.

Hi ash,

Congrats on the setup. regarding the setup, the front comps should be powered by the amp as said by moralfibre. in my setup i have infinity 6x9 rears which are powered by the head unit and hertz comps which are powered by the amp. trust me, if you power the comps by the amp you wont feel the need to use the rears. i dont use them at all.
well this is my opinion, so its upto you how you like your music.

thanks

Ash, like its been pointed out, you should power the front-comps and the tube with the amp. The rears are there just for fill, and the power from the HU will suffice.
