HU with Card slot

I am out in the market looking for a HU with an SD card slot (SD/MMC if possible)

If it doenst have cd is ok. Some features I would like to have but necessary are

1. Front AUX in
2. USB port
3. Bluetooth

I have looked at

1. Blaunpunkt melbourne SD27
2. Delhpi Grundig X330SD (Its german but never heard of the joint before)
3. Clarion FB276BT (liked a lot but where to buy???)
4. dapic KX919
5. any other?

Clarion looks good atleast in pictures and has bluetooth also. Blaupunkt and Delphigrundig seem to be good options also. Dapic is cheap and suspect in sound quality. how much am I looking to spend?

you can get the 7950UB from pioneer and put a card reader to make it a card slot type....but for this you will have to check that it will work or not.

also Found JVC KD-SH1000 with a SD card slot. No bluetooth though.

Clarion HU is also available in US as FB275BT. Any differences between 276 and 275? Also in UK it is known as FB278RBT.

@Low Bass Maker. I dont want more wires, hence I am looking for one with a card slot. I dont have ipod either(creative Zen)

devarshi, do the 4 models that you have listed have bluetooth among the other options that you desire ? If so, are they available in India ?

LBM, does pioneer have a bluetooth enabled HU?

Esteem Lover

Clarion and Blaupunkt websites mention the HU as BT enabled

JVC, Delphigrundig and Dapic dont have BT.

The clarion unit I like the best.

Ya there are two but both of them are for US

Pioneer Electronics - Sound. Vision. Soul

Pioneer Electronics - Sound. Vision. Soul

But you can make a Indian one also BT enable by using this adapter.

The thread doesnt have much information. I called up Clarion Mains in Delhi and they said its not available meaning none have been sold yet. I have also sent an e-mail to Blaupunkt for the Melbourne SD27 again which is not available anywhere.

here are the prices I have got in Ahmedabad until now.

1. Dapic 3600
2. Delphi grundig 8950
3. JVC 1000 - 12100
4. Blaupunkt-?
5. Clarion- ?

there is a chance I can get one from US but the model numbers for clarion unit is different in all countries. Would that be incompatible?

Why don't you check out the OEM HU on the Scorpio? It has USB and SD slots in front but no Bluetooth.

If Bluetooth is not #1 on your list, give it a shot. It is made by Kenwood or Nippon depending on who you speak to.

Hrag: I had enquired about that before. the HU on scorpio is a xenos unit or so they say. It is known as mp3-150 or mp3 200.

Update: Blaupunkt is not available and it doesnt have bluetooth or USB slot.

But I found an excellent replacement atleast by features. has SD,BT and USB with a cd.

Intex Technologies Ltd. :: Product

But the sales rep said its made in Delhi. Comes with 1 year warranty. Is it good compared to Clarion?

at the moment

1. Intex EUP 103 (its available and meets the needs) Rs.8990
2. Clarion FB276BT (Please someone help me buy this) ???????
3. Delphigrundig X330SD RS.8950
4. JVC KD Sh1000 Rs.12100
5. Dapic KX919 Rs. 3600
6. Blaupunkt Melbourne Sd27 (only SD and nothing else) RS.?????
7. Xenos pricol Mp3150/mp3200 (details) Rs. ?????

devarshi I fear these local brand would be having good sound...so it is better to invest in that which is reputed and tried and test by everyone....so I would suggest to go for 7950 it has a USB playback support and you can use a pendrive rather than a chip...

do you also suggest that JVC and Delphi grundig are not good enough?

As I asked before, I can get Clarion from Canada for $150. but the model number is different. WIll that be incompatible in India?

how much does pioneer 7950 cost?
