Hi guys,

First and foremost, I would like to thank all he gurus out here for the educative information I could get regarding various systems. By the time I went through many of the posts in this forum, I could at least make out what I needed to get installed in my swift.

I went and got the following installed :

(1) Blaupunkt Bahamas HU
(2) Blau GTc 172 comps for the front
(3) Blau GTx 693 Tri-axial for the rear.

Since the rear speakers were oval, had to get a parcel tray fitted.

System is great with nice sound.

Cost me 9733 + 2622 + 3066 respectively + 12.5% VAT, with B/W. Got it done from the Blau showroom at Bandra (W), (Mumbai).

Regards,

Kiron

Kiron, Congrats on your setup. How about some pics?

Huh? Which of those prices is for the HU and for the component? Which comp set did you get in Rs 2622?

the gtc series are pretty cheap.. i got a gtc 542 for 2.4k or so .. these come with speaker and tweeter and no crossover

Hi Zakaaaaasss,

Yep, says so in the bill -
- GTx 693 Tri-axial spkrs 3066 + 12.5%
- GTc 172 2622 + 12.5%
Kiron

congrats on your new ICE setup...

Please post some pics of the same along a nice report..

I guess Kiron has these components - Blaupunkt - Loud Speakers - GT Series - GTc 172

Guru's, can component systems come without a crossover? If they do then how are they wired?

Nice set-up Kiron. Even i am surprised to see that Blau has comp stuff at such economic rates:confused:

Look forward to some pics of your ICE set-up. Enjoy the sound mate !

Blau HU's are good i must say. I also have a MP36. Plan to change it now to MP 46 or MP 56. Let's c..
Temme one thing. Does the 693's have higher treble outputs than bass?

kiran what kind of music you listen to. And is your system biased for music and vocals or for bass.

not really. they would all need a crossover howevre simple. in fact even coax speakers have a crossover (a simple one that is not in a seperate box).

Blau components for 2622?:Shockked: do the competitors hear this? we have price war coming lol:

Thanks for the clarification Navin. How are they wired if they do not come in a separate box?

"in line"! I bet the XO is pretty simple. Just a cap for the tweeter and they let the woofer run fullrange, just like they do for a coax.

Isnt that how the JBL CS components work as well. I know it is letting your ears decide but what are the downsides of woofers running full rangestupid:
