Budget ballooned from 12K to 27.5K .
I started with 10k and ended at the same figure after the upgrade was done.

@ shuvc - congrats so now you are illusionized as well

the swift in your gallery looks a bit loud IMO. it will also make its way to the weird and wacky thread especially with that Subaru STi sticker at the back. the HL cluster looks good.

why is shuvd laughing his heart out?

@shuvd - audition anytime. But surely during our Sep drive-meet.
We can blast away in the serene outskirts of Banalakshmi

@Planet - @shuvd & @vinay probably having a laugh at my (read murga) expense.

Mods could you pls modify the thread subject to indicate that the install is done.

Clap clap! Congrats buddy!
It was my pleasure talking ICE with you. Helped me survive some tough days and nights at office!! Btw, I will miss predicting which mode you are in at the start of each conversation... ek din JBL, then Blau, Illusion, Kicker, Pio, and, did we touch Sony??!!
And was also good seeing heart triumph for a change
Next up, synthetic engine oil?? Mobil v Shell v Castrol v Valvoline. Good fun.. lol!

How about a demo in Sector V sometime? Will give you a call.

Only outstanding issue now. A slight rattle in the driver door is present. It doesn't rattle to the beat of the music. It seems like something is loose and I hear the sound when on rough roads.
From one murga to another - Congratulations, but you know you've done the right choice only when the need to upgrade dies down!

The rattle is there in my left door too. I have also some buzzing from the speaker, particularly on classical guitar (Segovia, Jim Hall). I traced the rattle to a broken door handle assembly, apparently broken by one of the install boys. Part costs about 700/- and has been ordered.

The speaker buzz I will need to resolve by sitting with the installer soon. For the moment I can live with it, I just avoid playing classical guitar Cds.

No way ! Never touched Sony ! Although you did miss out Alpine, Ground Zero ....

Theres a new oil in the market. Eneos I think. Jap oil from Nippon. But I guess Valvoline will do fine.

From what I have read all this month - two probable reasons could be:
a. Amp gain is set a bit high
b. Grounding issues

Congratulations shuvc, I have heard the EL 62 and they are nice speakers. The ones I heard were driven off an Alpine HU. The speakers must be singing with an amp. Congrats again

Just closing the loop.

What started out as a partial upgrade has transformed into full upgrade in 4 months. I see satisfied 'Guru-Grins' all around .

Total upgrade - complete !

Well - apparently the loop was not destined to be closed as per my previous post. Mods please change the thread title.

The MBQ is driving the Electra components
The 75.4 is driving the rear Electra coaxes and the GZ sub.
Illusion speaker wiring all around
Scosche wiring kit for the MBQ

New stuff that has gone into the car:
