people, how much time will take for the front components
GT5-650C speakers to be avaliable in the grey market and when was it released officially, i am assuming that the 4500 price is sahil international's store's price and what could be the price, in the grey market?

my damned kismat , just got the jbl GTO-607C components installed from the grey today for 4000 bucks, i just spoke to my car decors guy and he agreed to take them back and get me the other GT5-650C as soon as possible, but what could be the waiting period for them to appear on the grey market?

Baba, the GTO607C is superior to the GT5-650C.

1 question, will the GT5 2 ch amp be able to drive the GT5-12 sub in a sealed box? And how about the sound quality?

Also, how would the same amp perform with a 12" jbl bass tube??

For a sealed box the amp will run out of breath and may not be able to drive it as well.

For a sealed box setup a monoblock is the way to go.

Im currently having a sealed sub and about to pick up a standalone amp for it.
So,Explain it to me like I was a 4 year old
Why can't a 2-ch amp with the exact same output as the mono be used with a sealed box?

I have been to JBL showroom at PrasadZ. Bu ti have little confusion over which ones to go for. Options that I am confused over are for rear 6*9 co-axials

1. GTO 937
2. GT 963

GT 963 is cheaper than than GTO937 but I want to go for the best in price range 4000-5000

Person at the showroom has recomended tweeters(GT5 502) instead of front components.

A monoblock is waaay out of budget for me. I am planning to spend just about 10-11k for the whole amp-sub setup. Can u guys suggest a good setup within that range? I pefer to use the GT5 sub. And i am mainly looking for good listening quality. Which amp would fit in my budget???

OPTION 1
GT5-12 sub = 5K
Blaupunkt GTA280 2-ch amp = 6K (Bridge the amp to drive the sub)
Wiring, Box & install = 2.5K to 3K Max
Total = 13.5 to 14K

OPTION 2
If 11K budget is absolute,
GT5-12 sub = 5K
Blaupunkt GT2 special 2-ch amp = 3.5K (Bridge the amp to drive the sub)
Wiring, Box & install = 2.5K to 3K Max
Total = 11 to 11.5K

I'd go with the first option. Having bought the sub, if you don't get a decent enough amp to drive it, you're not getting the max out of the money spent.

Hydra, he prefers a sealed enclosure. Will the blau amps provide enough juice to drive the GT-5 12 in a sealed box?

I think they will struggle. I guess a better bet is to go for a ported enclosure instead.

Here's the prices which i got;
JBL GT5-12 - 4500(with B&W)
JBL GT5 2 ch amp- 4500(With B&W)
Box-800
Wiring-1000(God knows what make this is!!)
Total-10800

The above quote was from The JBL shop on the highway. But since the car is a matiz, the normal box wont fit in there. I'm not so sure about the custom enclosure they are going to make. Isn't a specific size of enclosure needed for a 12" woofer? Hydra Do you recommend any other shop in cochin? Coz the emperor people are interested only in installs which would rival the price of my car!!!

P.S: Can someone explain the difference in sound of a ported and sealed box? Coz i've heard only one of them!
