I guess so too. KA probably figured it was an anamoly in his karma to have run into us nutjobs.

He probably go to his friendly neighbourhood car audio installer and get him self a nice Sony XPLOD system and live happily ever after while we sad souls chase our tails in search of the holy grail.

Innocence is Bliss.

Nope not run off screaming in terror, just been enjoying ignorantly bliss on the weekend. Anyway, first thoughts are wow, thanks for all the responses guys!

Now, while I was lurking on this forum here without signing up, I have learnt this much, "Do not buy Sony Explode, not unless the Sony guys are gifting stuff away free (wherein I shall gift it forward to unsuspecting and rather annoying relatives)"!

Also I realize my folly in not giving a budget because this place has enough solutions for princes and the odd pauper. So my budget is as follows, I think I could spend about 5-7k's for every component in about monthly or bimonthly frequencies. I will have to work a little harder than the normal but what the hell, I'm sure the payback will definitely "sound" good.

Oh that's all, and thanks again guys!

Hmm, interesting!

But we never specified that Gamy was most definitely straight, so let's leave him his sexual preferences open.

that would tototal to a budget of 20-30K. More if one started getting into it with damping etc...

HU: 5-7K Pio, Blau, JVC, Kenwood
Front component speakers: 5-7K JBL, Blau, Illusion, Hertz
Rear 6x9 Speakers: 5-7K same as above
Amp: 5-7K JBL, Pio, Kenwood, Blau.
RCA Wires: 2K

Start with a HU and Front speakers, add rear speakers and then an amp.

Ok, I'm starting to get the drift of how this works.

I'm based in Pune and I'd like some input from you guys as to the places where I can get quality installs of any and all of this stuff because I've begun to understand that a bad install can make things go south pretty fast.

Also a friend just told me about a brand called Kicker. What is this and is this any good?

Thanks Much!

Oh and as to my sexual preferences, I wonder if it will help if I say that I'm monogamous.

Hi Karmicanomaly,

You are in Pune. I am sure people have pushed Kicker to you but I would suggest that you stay away from it. We can collectively have your ICE dilemma's sorted out with a demo of few systems that team-bhp Pune is running. We meet up quite often and would love to show off our systems to you after which you can decide what is best for you. But stay away from Kicker, Soundstream, Sony, etc. You can get much much better products for that price.

I'll PM you my number.

That's why all us serious ICErs have "mono" blocks. At least 2 upfront with the t"w"eets on the dash and 2 x 69 ers comprise the rear

Lose at least 3 smilies too, or the mods will take what's left of your tweets
