well bro lbm ,
i dont want a disco on wheels nor do i want to show off.
Just want the ability to play loud if i choose to do so . And am scared that 2 will shake my car loose. LOL
Most of the time i dont listen to my music loud..mostly around 75-90 DB.
But what i am looking for is more pronunciation of the really low freq's , 25-38 HZ at decent volume levels.
Will always keep the box sealed for the tight Sq they provide.
So would i get more with 2 subs or 1 is good enough ? Guruji's ???
Thanx guys. .

O.T. - Cant wait for my ID max. Also am thinking about the KTX100EQ imprint thingy. Any suggestions ?
Maybe i should revive my old thread.
Sorry for the Hi-jack didnt mean to.

That can be done with a well designed ported enclosure that to with a single sub and with good SQ also

Also which music material is at 25-30 Hz region you tend to listen.

Go for two subs. All of the above symptoms call for this remedy.

Ajay saar, why would you suggest two subs instead of one (keeping the wattage equal)?
Is there an advantage?

less cone movement per db of SPL. less cone movement often translates to better defined bass.

That is very very true navinji. Thank you for that.
Have now decided to get 2 sub for sure .
But for the time being will get 1 and try it out for a bit. Than order the 2nd once i decide to sell my IDQ's.
No point in keeping 4 subs and also it is easier on my pocket too hehehe.
Well 1 sub is already on its way . i better make up my mind fast on the IDQ's. Its just i really like them too..LOL.

Polk SR is nowhere close to being an SPL sub. It does not even come with recomended ported enclosure volume suggections.

Panky: Your budget will dictate a lot of things and choices, so whats the total budget for a pair of subs ?

Bro, I learnt one think when i picked up my Infinity Sub and amp, you need a full balanced package of ICE in your car to get the best effect. So now I'm saving up for component speakers too which will compliment my sub and amp. What is the rest of your ICE setup made up of ? You may have to upgrade your speakers at the same time to get the best effect.

The recommendation was specifically for Tool. He listens to a lot of psy music from what I understand. Like Navin said, to keep excursion low and for speed, two subs would be a good idea. In fact, 3 x good 10"s would be perhaps better. In most psy music the bass line is pulsating and rapidly changing. As Tool mentioned, some of the stuff is 150 bpm+.
