Arrey Abhibh, give the poor Unihorn some time man. It took him 9 months to get a car, 15 months to buy the Wheels & Tyres so logically the audio should be going in by the time the 2010 Commonwealth Games start man!

I plan on demoing them both side by side when I get my install.
I will be waiting for your feedback.

What is this about the 7950 being for 7.6K? Is that a joke or is that really the correct price in grey?

about a month ago (now almost 2) my friend bought 7950 grey for 7.6K with kicker speakers. The price now in grey is 8.5 - 9.5k

wow, that's a sweet price!

I have been quoted about 8.6K now. But I think I am going to go for the 6050 for 9K.

Wise choice my friend! Just wondering if you know that its a PIONEER

I think they have done a great job with the 6050, its got clean lines and has lost the preset buttons and UFO look of the 7950.

Ok boss. Enough with the Pioneer jibes. It's not like I hate the brand. I just said that the build quality was not that great. And it really isn't for the lower models especially. Even in the 4050, 5050 and 6050 models, the joystick-cum-jogdial is not something I like so much. I think it could have been designed way better. But compared to everything else in the market in this price range (including the 7950), the 6050 seems to be my best bet as far as having a good display plus good USB support goes. Also, generally for the features, 6050 is quite VFM, and which is why I will buy it.

I still don't think it's worth 9K, but I am tired of not having any ICE (have reverted to singing in the car by myself, and there's nothing more awful than that!!).

The difference in the 7950 and 6050 is also that the remote has less keys in the 6050, that means you dont have all the functions ont the remote.

^ I don't think so. Here are the two, and I don't see a difference except for the colour. The number of buttons on the remote is the same.

Pioneer 7950

Pioneer 6050

I will also find that information helpful. compared to 7950ub. Both being pioneer with similar features i would like to go for the cheaper/ newer model.
