yaar the kenwood 8401 will cost you somewhere Rs.4900-5200/- and teh Blaupunkt will cost about 5100/- to 5350/- grey, yes you can run the GT5 on the sony amp,the only thing is at higher volumes it might trip your amp.
Simply return the amps and get any of the 4channel amps bas done,i bet its as same rate as your both the amps

Guys, I suggest that you consider carefully before giving suggestions to amit. Let it not result in another wasteful expenditure. In my understanding, he has way too little power to drive nearly ANY sub. Just changing to another brand/ 4-channel amp isn't really the solution.

im not a guru or anything but in my getz i have a gt5 12" in a ported box. its being driven with an alpine mrp - t220 and its getting 140w rms. amits amp puts out 130w rms. the bass that i get is more than adequate. shouldnt 130w rms be enough for the sub?

maybe amit you can try get your dealer to let you audition the gt5 in your box with your amp?

The issue here is that Alpine's 140w RMS and Sony's, uh, 'concept' of 130wRMS are very very different.
