Congrats on your new HU!

Not sure if the Cedia would accomodate the midrange driver in a 3-way component set, especially a 3" or 4" cone midrange.

He got the call when he was installing the sub in my Sienna.

Updates :

Installed Hertz Deci . The sound is a wee bit on the brighter side but with the equalizer you can get a pretty good sound.
Will be installing the sub and the amp in a week or so.

Nope no damping . Am already damped out with sinking finances.
Though I gotta figure a way to tighten the parcel tray . There is a loose sheet right above the frame .

wow max the mounting looks sweet. what are you using to keep it there, is it two sided tape (never worked for me) or glued it on or have you got it screwed in?

Installation of SUB + AMP

Today I finshed installing my sub and amp.

There are a few changes I have made to my earlier plans.

Instead of a 4 channel amp , I decided to install a mono block ie RF P3001.
This amp pumps out 385 W RMS @ 2 ohms(as per their test certificate which comes with the amp) so its good enough for my sub which is having an effective impedence of 2 ohms when the voice coils are connected in parellel.

Earlier when I had been using the same sub in my sienna it had sounded a bit boomy , I guess it was due to the sub enclosure which was ported. So I decied to rectify this problem by using a sealed enclosure from BASSWORX.

Used Tsunami Premium power cable for supplying power to amp and Scocshe's speaker wire for connecting sub to the amp.

After installing these are the few things I noticed.
  1. Need better rear speakers
  2. RAttling sound from the parcel tray is ULTRA irritating
  3. Bass is sounding tight and low(which is the way I like).
