ICE upgrade for my Getz

Hey Guys. This is my present ICE Setup for my Getz CRDi.

Head Unit:
Sony CDX 470 US

Speakers :
JBL 607 C (Front )
JBL 937 (Rear)

I want to install a good Amp for this setup . I am NOT going to install a Sub-Woofer .

So please suggest a good amp to drive these JBL speakers.

There are many amps. Search our install/show off/product discussion posts. If you are looking for a decent amp, matches well with JBL comps and co-axes, in a budget range, a quick answer is GT5-A604
JBL Car & Marine Audio

Exactly what I think too!

Another option would be the Kenwood KAC8401 (about 5K, grey) or the Blaupunkt GT4 Special (around 5K with B&W).

There are many amps. But i dont have the technical knowledge about these . Seems while selecting an Amp , there are some technical facts to be considered , right ? Like ohms , channel etc.. Thats why i am asking a specific model . Seems JBL GT5-A604 may do well with JBL speakers as both are from the same company.. I will keep that as my first preference .

JBL amps tends to overheat and cause trouble, many guys have faced this problem .

Pick kenwood 8401 , its best for speakers!!

I would disagree. I have been using JBL 4 channel and JBL monoblock for quite a while now. Not once did I have a overheating problem. Overheating is predominantly due to a sub optimal install.

I've been using the famed JBL 75.4 for over an year now. Haven't faced any issues. The 100.4 I'm using since July this year and it performs perfectly. Just my 2 paise, no offense guys.

Any amps overheat or Trips if the wiring is not done properly with proper Gauge-wires and Grounded well.

Blaupunkt GT4
Kenwood 8401
Pioneer 4300
JBL GT604

all these amplifiers are value for money in a budget SQ install.

That might be the reason.

I will take these 4 models into account and purchase based on the availability. Can you give me the same in quality based sequence. ? Or in the order of best combination with the JBL speakers ?
