I don't think you needed a Fused Distributon block for grounding, if the fuse blows due to whatever reason, you will have an open grounding which is not good for the system and the car's wiring.
Maybe some more experienced people can comment on this, but this is my thought.

Hi Satya,

Actually,i wasn't really expecting a fused distribution block. I thought you would send a normal DB. Its my fault didnt specify.

about the grounding issue, i would like the gurus to shed some light on this.

cheers

While parked, pull the handbrake and see if it works. This is a safety mechanism. You can disable it.

Maverick, there is a cable at the rear of the HU marked "Handbrake". Short it to ground, i.e. touch it to the metal of the car and your video playback will resume.

Congrats on your ICE, enjoy the music.

Cheers!

Ahoy! I go away for somedays and you post a thread. And may i know where have ya heard Rainbow SLX ? hehe mine are SAX bro. that was BIG typo.

Nice setup mav. Regarding grounding i don't think there is anything to worry about and afterall you should know better Mr. Electrified Engineer!

Come this Saturday will fix the video issue. This same issue was faced with manikjeets HU but later on we fixed it.

Enjoy the musical HERTZ!

It was all running well till friday, suddenly my HU(5750DVD) ribbon cable went kaput and display went off.
Getting it repaired was not looking an easy job so finally decided to upgrade HU.
I decided not to go for Touch screen DVD this time as hardly watched movies on 5750.
Was looking at kenny 7009,6539,JVC AVX44,pioneer 7150,6050 and finally today afternoon decided to go ahead with the upgrade.

some pics i clicked at time of install

im really feeling the difference in SQ,its more melodious now.Display is also good ,reads CD's quickly and Jog dial is very convenient to use.
will click some night shots (bling bling) too.

Joe this was fast man till last night you were confused between the 2 7009/6539 and you did the right thing. How much did you liked the HU compared to the older one (pioneer).

hehehe ya i took the plunge and got 6539 as i have heard lot good about this HU.
Coming to liking ,im totally impressed by the SQ m getting really musical ,vocals have improved a lot so is the bass, dunno why it was so much lacking with old HU(pio)
Overall fully satisfied with the money spend ,ill recommend to anyone who is looking for good HU in 10K price bracket.
