Hi!
I do have the same speakers GTO937. Its good one.
I am also using poineer Head Unit.
You have a option in your head unit to configure the rear output to the sub or full range output.
for this you switch OFF the set and press the multi control buttom i.e. your volume controll and hold it for a while. you will inter in intitial setup menu. Scroll and go to SW control anm make it to sub mode.
switch off and again switch on. go to high pass filter option and place the high pass to 100Hz so that you can use general front speaker and bass will not be effacting the front speakers.
Use JBL front speakers that are really good at reasonable price.
Now feel the sound of you set just sounding like sub connected with amp.
No more money you need to pay but its really sounds great.
I have purhased the amp but thinking not to use after I had configured in this mode as I am getting great sound from the head unit itself. Amp will also draw power which I do not want to wast untill unless it is required.
pioneer head units with direct subdrive is just great

HU : Pio6850 - DEH-P6850MP

Speakers : JBL GTO937 - JBL Car & Marine Audio

I want to add an amp, speakers/components for the front(something that fits into my door panels without having to cut the grill) and also a woofer.

Just to explain what i need -

1.Loudness but surly not at the cost of clarity(Both in the speakers and woofer)
2.Something which i dont have to worry about for at least 2yrs to come.
3.For now my budget is 10k. I know it may not be good enough.

help me in deciding on the combination which will work at the optimum level allong with my current setup.

Wow Gaurav, even I got confused there, lol.

Kaushik, buy a good amplifier and components. The sub can wait for the next paycheck.

Hi Sam,

thanx for the quick responce, which comps, amps and sub do you suggest?
need something that goes best with the GTO937 and the Pio6850.

And yes i have increased the budget to 15k. Is that ok?

Will i need 2 amps or 1 is ok for the comps, sub and 937's?

Ideally you would need a 4channel amplifier and a singlemono amplifier. But ideally you would have more money to burn on your ICE. lol.

So for now, you buy a 4 channel amplifier between 8 and 10K. There are a few good brands available for that price. And get a component set for about 5K. Assuming you get an amp for 8500 and components for 5000, you will have 1500 left over.

Buy a bottle of Indian Champagne (I suggest Sula Brut -900/-), take it home and out it in the freezer for 3 hours. Then pack it up in newspaper (acts like a thermal jacket), put petrol(500/-), buy some flowers (100/-), rob two champagne glasses from your ghar (free), pick up your girl(free), go for a drive(free) and drink the champagne before it gets warm.

And THAT is in-car-entertainment.

Entire means what? You cannot get 2 amps, a set of components and a sub for 15K.
It is better you raise your budget to 16, 17K, buy a subwoofer, a 4 channel amplifier and some components then and save up for a monoblock.

Buddy, if you have a budget of 15K, build up slowly and do it in 2 stages

Stage 1
4-Channel AMP : 7K
Component Speakers for front stage : 5.5K
Wiring : 1.5K

Total : 14K

Stage 2 ( Whenever you have money in near future)

Subwoofer : 7-8K
Monoblock Amp : 10K

Total : 18K

After the stage 2, the " entire system" will be completed.

JBL 2 Ch amp
JBL GT5 - 1000watts
JBL C608 - comps

great, congratulations! is the gt5 s12 in a ported enclosure or is it in a sealed dabba?
i guess its time for you to show us your stuff, and there's no better way to do that than to open a new show-off thread in the appropriate section.
who did the install? what wiring? what RCAs?
