What are options at 10K?

Really? I doubt it's with B&W, check again. The 8404's MRP is 9990!

Now I am confused. I need an amplifier which is not bright, and will help the sub to integrate with the overall sound. Please advice.

Cheers

if you find JBL bright then

get this for about 10k or even slightly less(after disc)
Hermit Audio Pvt. Ltd.
it is not bright and i would get it too for that budget.

Another option is
GM-6300F
though this is only 60W (and one may argue why not a KAC 8401 for 4.5k) these 60W sound livelier and maybe louder than the kenwood.
(P.S i myself have a kenwood though since i prefer a little laid back sound)
