It does allow storing up to 3 presets for these settings- "P.EO ON/OFF", "X-OVER", "T ALIGNMENT', "SPEAKER GAIN".

So you mean to say it is possible to save 3 different time alignment settings as presets? It's rather strange to not allow this facility in normal mode.

I felt the same way, whatever that can be applicable to normal mode should have been ideally provided. For whatever reason, they have simplified things in normal mode (forcing me to use 3-way mode), may be for non tech-savvy customers!

Hi guys....

i was following this thread intently for quite some and then it ran into 50 pages (making it a tough task to resume reading from where i left !! ;-) )

I have few quick questions to ask:
Do we still all consider the DXZ 785 the VFM buy inspite of some of the limitations that might have showed up here and there during the course of 50 pages !??

Am planning on asking someone to get this from the US...given the lack of any immediate alternative, can i agnostically go ahead and have this one ordered ??

Yes! its surely VFM. As I have mentioned in my earlier posts, I never regret the decision to invest in this HU. Same is the case with most of the people here

I tried "All Seats" option yesterday, when you switch it "On" the TA is 'off' or atleast that's how it sounds & when you switch it back "Off" TA is 'on' again no issues

But I Noticed it, it works well if you have rear fillers and have set the TA parameters. Without it, it doesn't work at its best.

So how many of you DXZ785USB owners are using this HU in active mode? Any noticable improvment in SQ after going active?

Well not big brother 785 but having amazing company of small brother 576 Clarion since last 6 months. Yeap, I got it @6000rs. thru' dubai friend. 576 carry all features similar to 785 except TA but with compensation of direct front usb slot & Magna Bass features.

I would have any day traded off sound-restorer and digital-z-enhancers for this, but it was not possible. How useful/effective is it?

BTW, another advantage for you is that it will tune to any available FM station (if you ever listen to radio that is!).

Am not to sure if many here are running their drivers in active. But, I have a 4 way active setup on it's way, will be doing it next month. Onething i would have preferred is 24db slope instead of the limited 18db slope 785 provides. active gives more flexibility over the system than passive as long as the drivers used are above avg.
Currently running passive can give accurate feedback as will be running the same drivers on active.

Surely Magna Bass makes a note over even DigitalZhancer. Mostly I use DigitalZhancer at 2. GTx693Blaupunkt strong enough to run this show. I'm in dream how's effect when i go for subwoofer.

Yeap, i was listening all FMs in Ahmedabad during my last visit. Here, in Jamnagar there r no any FM due to defence headquarters
