Innova icing questions

Hello Guys

Recently visited a Mitsubishi showroom and saw the outlander. Had a look at its ICE, It was Rockford Fosgate.

So here the bug that bit me and next thing my innova gets in a rockford system.

Rockford Fosgate Punch P400-4 (07-p400-4) Multi-channel Amps Car Amplifiers Car Audio and Video - Sonic Electronix

This is the amp I have decided to go. It will powering 4 Speakers in the doors.

ICE gurus what speakers do you recommend or will fit innova stock locations?

This is the car...

I'd suggest you something with more power.
Why not the JBL 1004.
Gives around 100w x 4 at 4 ohms compared to 50w x 4 at 4 ohms from the Rockford.

What price are you getting that rockford for?

Rockford goes for 20k including shipping.

Wouldn't the clarity in rockford better than JBL or something?

20K? For that price you can get (if without b&w) a very decent 4channel PLUS a mono to drive a sub. All amps have clarity, but they are essentially incomparable - since each has a sound signature of it's own. Don't go by data sheet numbers - audition systems in other cars before taking a decision.

Instead of being wowed by the name, use conventional logic:
- have you heard and compared other brands before deciding what you like?
- does the brand have a decent service presence in Chandigarh?
- is there anyone near you who you can compare notes with, or would you be the lone ranger?

With above logic you will realize that JBL and Blaupunkt have decent sound AND service, followed by Kenwood, Alpine and Pioneer. RF will maybe leave you stranded in the middle of the road if you have trouble, no matter whether it sounds good or not.

20k with shipping is high for a 4 channel amp giving only 50 w x4 at 4 ohms
For that amount i'd go for a JBL 1004 and a mono ( maybe the JBL 3501 / 7001 whichever falls in that price range)

Thanks guys for all the tips. Ok, I will go with the JBL brand.

I am already hooked with a mono and 2 subs. Check below.

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/long-t...ed-rugged.html

Innova offers you 4 speakers that can be fit into doors at stock locations. I dont want to mod anything in the doors, so please tell me the exact size they would fit in.

So, I am looking for a 4 Channel amp, and 4 speakers.

Please suggest.

Thanks

You can also consider Harman Kardon CA470 4 ch amp. It costs approx 25k with B/W.

Innova will allow you to install 6.5" speakers without any hassles in the stock location.

Try evaluating an Infinity 4 Channel amp too, the Ref475A.
The 1004 too is a nice amp, but are you going to be buying real 100 RMS handling speakers ? If yes, then it's excellent value for money.
