Now i wanna know how are you running all the equipment as of now from 1 AMP.

1 set of components (you are not bi amping them)
2 iD Max
Yup, They are Bi-ampable, And the front will be bi-amped once I have the Mono in place. Simple Two Channels to the Front Side, And Two Channels bridged to the Sub section. The Amp gives 300W in bridge mode, So 150W to each.

Mono is Here

So Finally the wait is over, And I have the monoblock in my hands. The amp looks quite similar to the Genesis Profile Four Ultra but this has tons and tons of power hidden underneath that beautiful chassis.

Will Install it tomorrow and then post the install pics. Till then enjoy these pics.

Tomorrow, We just fit the AMP, The real work of making it look good will only start after that, And Let me guarantee you, It will be something nobody has ever seen before.

HU Mod

During the time my AMP did not arrive, I finished with my Head Unit MOD. Now I have a Custom Bootup screen with background scheme.

Soon will create a custom Theme for my HU and upload the same, but since the AMPS have arrived, this will happen only after everything else is complete. A short video of the same

The Magical sunday

And Now came that Sunday, Sunday is usually a very important day in the Delhi ICE scene, All ICE enthusiasts meet up, Chat around while an install gets completed and then sit down listening to it by the evening time when its complete and today it was my Cars turn and I was looking forward to it.

I Get up at 11AM in the morning, which is quite early considering a Sunday , Anyways I am excited, get ready quickly and head straight over to GYRO, I find a small install is going on So i need to wait. Meanwhile arrives Mr Gunbir and our very own Audiophile Jasdeep. and immediately we get down to work. The previous AMP is removed, the wiring is all cleared up and then organized, The AMP position is decided , Its mounted and connected. The W-I-P progress pics I will put up later, because I forget the camera card somewhere. Sorry for the delay.

Anyways, The setup is tuned, AMP gains set and the setup is ready to be fired up. The Changes made now

1. The Fronts are now Bi-Amped, 100x4 Genesis Watts now going to the front stage only

2. The subs connected in overall 4 OHM impedence to the Monoblock, Now getting 250 250W each. 500W total.

As soon as the setup is fired, One could eaisly notice the front playing a lot more LOUD thanks to the more power and also The subwoofers now kicking harder. The Front stage now sounds even more detailed and the imaging is spot on. The Midbass now with 100W of power sound like Mini subwoofers behind the door panel, causing the entire door to rattle like hell, Even after so much damping, I guess I need more. The tweeters also playing a lot more LOUD and clean, It has greatly helped the image centring and specially the High End Detail. I am in love with the SLC Components all over again. And with the Bi-AMP i have more control over the tweeter levels, If I feel to increase/Decrease the tweeter level, I simply decrease the gains of the channel on which the tweeters are playing.

The Subs, now truly living up to the iDMAX image, They go extremely low causing the whole car to vibrate, I am afraid that my spoiler will fall of now, It is vibrating like crazy

The Mono AMP and the retune have truly taken the setup to the next level and I am enjoying the setup like crazy. Michael Jackson never sounded so good. Kudos to the GYRO Team for creating the best setup possible in my car with the given budget. They have fulfilled all my requirements brilliantly. Now I have a Setup which

1. Looks Out of the World
2. Sounds Great
3. Has Enough Bass to shake things up

Almost everything One can ask for. The Install is still not complete, The Trim plate over the amps is due to be changed. So dont think its finished. I still have one more story to tell.

Congrats on the install, just for knowledge wanted to know why you chose to use two subs giving 500 watt in total instead of giving 500 watts to one sub.

manan, i just happened to see the old motorola v3 (the original razr) phone today after a loooong time, and it struck me that the buttons on your kenwood head unit have been ripped off from the legend :-) they look quite hot though. the backlighting is an exact copy!

Looking hotttttttt, Manan! I'm guessing there's a plexiglass cover going to be placed on top of the amps, with the Image Dynamics logo etched and lit up?
