Peculiar problem with PIONEER Head-Unit

Hi
I own a Maruti Zen with Pioneer DEH4850MP MP3 CD player. I like the head unit very much but of late it has started giving me troubles. A few songs in the last 5-6 folders of MP3 CDs are stuttering. These songs stutter everytime I play them and always stutter in the same exact way as before. Also, after a high volume play for quite sometime, the CD comes out very head unit and the head unit heats up too (I don't know if it's normal) but it has happened for quite sometime and not recently. I got the lens changed but still the problem remains. The same songs stutter everytime. I tried playing these song in another head unit and they played fine. I wonder what the problem is?

Also, is there a way to check my CD for errors? Maybe the CD isn't proper.
Regards
Abhinav Sharma

Here are the few things that you can try for the songs stuttering.
1. Check if the CD is scratched.
2. Check if the index of the CD is clean.
3. Are the songs regional? In pioneer the quality of the mp3 that you have downloaded also matters. Normally english mp3s are of higher bit rates so it plays well.
4. Go to a genuine Pioneer service station and get a check up done.

The heating of the head unit & CD is normal, but the CD ejecting itself isn't.

abhipuru16: Why don't you try playing another CD or play that same CD on another player to check if the problem still exists?

I did that and the CD played perfectly fine on the other Player.

1. Check if the CD is scratched. Was burnt just a couple of weeks ago with minimum burning speed.

3. Are the songs regional? In pioneer the quality of the mp3 that you have downloaded also matters. Normally english mp3s are of higher bit rates so it plays well. I have burnt MP3s of highest possible bitrates (256Kbps and above).

Oh no! the CD does not eject itself!

here you go How do I interpret the results of the Opti-Drive software?
Huh! It says message entered is too short!
The Opti-Drive software is a trial for 30 days only. Isn't there a free alternative?

If they have changed the lens recently and if the problem still exists, just go to the service station and give a demo of the problem. I think they should be able to help.

The index is the inner circle of the CD which holds the content information.

If the CD is burnt a week ago I think it should be clean.
