Well irrespective of the price it's the SQ performs of this unit that is more attractive. Compared to the Alpine's and Pioneer I like natural sounding of the Clarion, especially the mids and high frequency. One of the main reason I choose over the other 3 I had listed on my thread Alpine, Pioneer, Kenwood.

The only drawback is the design aspect which am sure would have been great it would sell nothing below 300$ and would have given the Alpine's(being the powerful unit) and pioneer a run for their money.

It is by no means a bad design at all. You have all the control buttons laid out in the front, just need a bit of getting used to which is common for any new product. And I love the slider.

Hey John... Congratulations on your setup!

Have you done any sort of dampening on the doors and boot especially?

Cheers!

Why only speaker damping ? And not the whole of the doors/boot with noisekill/dynamat ?
