Had GPS receiver is pre-built in the HCL Myleap, it would be a good start from an Indian company.

I'm not exactly sure what you meant by that, but HCL is not the OEM for Myleap MH214. The MH214 is just a re-branded SH series from the Japanese manufacturer Kohjinsha and they do have GPS in some of the models. HCL must have decided to remove the GPS feature to keep the costs low.

Nah, there is no GPS in that tablet. I had checked the device list under Device Manager.

A heavy duty windshield suction mount for the Mileap MH-214 (tablet mode) would be a nice add-on...If anyone has used/seen something similar, please chime in.

I strongly differ on this. I have been using Belkin inverter 200W for quite few time in my car with no problems at all. Even at streach of 8-10 hours. It runs cool (no heating).

This is because the price being offered through Chroma is a tie up at the corporate level and Chroma is in a hurry to dispose of the units acquired as newer models are lined up.
I was also given a proforma invoice by HCL for 22,000 and they were shocked when I confronted them with the Chroma bill. They then enquired back with HCL Noida only to be told that the Chroma pricing is a retail segment pricing.
