Get a Sony/Pioneer (no bill/warranty) HU and Sony speakers perhaps. If you could stretch your budget a little, you could get Blaupunkt/JBL/Alpine speakers. What do you say boys?

Vivek speaketh the truth. If you like you could just get a CD/MP3 deck with 4" speakers for the front doors and a pair of Ovals in the rear.
Sony has some good decks at sensible prices and warranty, however their speakers arent quite as good as some of the brands that make only speakers.
You should be able to top off everything at 10 to 12k.

Cheers

i'd say (and dont say "ofcourse you would", because many will back me up here lol)
GTO936e for the rear(Rs 4750/-) and GTO426e for the front(2500/-) Be careful as some dealers will try and tell you there is additional VAT for the bill. There isn't. The prices include VAT and you can report a dealer that doesnt give you a bill and warranty. it's your right.
If you'd like to save a little money, buy sony fronts, theyre about 1400/-. Though it will make a slight difference in the mids and high, there will be no lows coming from the front anyways so it's a very small compromise.
Dear Sam,
As you are saying there will no lows in the front speakers, shud i get the component speakers for the front doors or rear doors.
i also remember that my Zen's Kenwood KRC 289 had two marked connectors for front and rear speakers and their power vastly differed. once a mechanic swapped the connections and sound was pathetic.
Is there any specific setting that needs to be done while installation. i am going for JBL 6" components for front door and 6" tri-axials for rear door. no sub and amp for now. a CS50.4 later.

Dear N

Components are not put for low end extension (though their bottom end bite is often superior) you would put components for a clear soundstaged mid and treble, which would be best appreciated IN THE FRONT.
Navin is right, a lot of half trained installers will install the speakers out of phase in the front or rear. The result is a complete cancellation of low frequencies, no bass whatsoever and often that is percieved as "Pathetic"

My suggestion "in quote there" was for an alto. Alto's dont accept 6" components in the front, are you modifying? The only maruti car that accepts 6" fronts is the swift. ( I'm thinking of getting one, should i people?)
Your combination is a good one. Just make sure the guy connects the phase correctly (make sure that the positive of the speaker goes to the positive of the HU connection and so on)
It will sound very nice N, but it will be complete once that 4channel amp is in place. Happy listening.
