and the speakers r loud, damn loud even at FULL vol. no distortion! also nice bass.
abt the amp...I 4got its price as i brought it 3-4 yrs back.

i recommend u get a tray and then u boxed/tub sub. by the way, ur car is ?

tube will be better 4 u i think..coz once u have the tray, ur cars so called dicky will be tiny miny or ene meeny....kindof :D and hence u may have space only 4 tube and not a box

put the sub on the tray, it wil be bhoom bhoomm ++ says seniors

I am talking about the boxes or tray for the 6x9 speakers. If I place two 20L boxes for the 6x9s in the dicky, there is no room left at all for my future sub.

better 2 use tray as u haev a sub in mind . or get nice components and put them in box. and be happy with it:D

You'll do fine with an 1" mdf tray vivek.... I haven't xperienced any vibrations or nothing.... the 936 ovals are a lil heavy, so they require an 1" board... then, you'd also have space for the sub below... watsay??

You guys are right. By getting the tray, I still have a lot of space for a subwoofer below it. Then I can put in a nice sealed sub which will not be too big also.

JK, I already have the 936 and 426. So can't spend more on components. So sad.

i doubt if u can get a boxed sub like cs1200 B. maybe a custom box or u can haev teh sub on the tray. what say?

hi vivek..i know im not experienced enough to tell u this but just have a look at the pic below..its from my zen..it has a pair of sony coaxials 6''x9'' fixed on a mdf tray..well u can see the gap below the tray..so actually thats where the sub can be placed..even a sealed box for a 12'' sub wont fit there..so il have to stick with a 10'' sub..if u want to use boxes for the 936's then im sure u wont have any space left at all for the sub which u plan to add later on..so i too suggest u go in for a good mdf tray..make sure its carpetted properly and for my zen it cost me Rs.750/- ..so it will be the same for the alto too...and the boot capacity of the zen and the alto are nearly the same..so once the tray is fitted it will be really low and fitting a bigger sub will be difficult for u too..

so i suggest get a good mdf tray and make sure its a thight fit to ur side panels..this will ensure that it wont move around and thus eliminates vibrations to a great extent..well i am satisfactory with this on my car..if u want to know where to get the mdf tray u can PM and il help u out..

If you are using a sub why use 6x9s? I would recommend some nice 6" components/coax instead.

navin i think vivek is using the 6x9's for the present and might upgrade to a sub at a later stage..atleast thats what i heard him say..so using compos or 6'' coaxials will make him loose that necessary bass na?? until he gets the sub(thats if it takes a month or two..guessing)..

If anyone want to go for subwoofer...putting a smaller speaker is always a better idea. One should avoid 6 X 9's with subwoofer.

You will crossover the speakers and subwoofer @ 80Hz...so for reproduction of sound above 80Hz is not much of a problem for 6-6.5" hence using 6X9's is point less

I second JB's opinion. besides coming from the "other century" I dont like oval speakers too much. too much strain on the rubber surround. the only ovals i cared for were the B139s from KEF.

Now that I already have the 6x9s and the 4 inch fronts, what are the options I have since you guys feel that adding a sub would be too much? I could use the 6x9s, buy components for the front (would love that). Maybe my present 4 inch speakers can be used as a centre channel for my HT system at home. :D
