I am not sure if all this can be easily done with a commercial dvd player. With a car pc, all this and more will be possible.

I had factory fitted radio in my i10. To put car computer, I simply ordered the full central facia including mounting brackets at Hyundai service centre from a non factory fitted i10 model. That way got same quality, same finish and excellent fit. Did you guys explore that option for i20 (not sure if there is i20 model without radio).

Wildon - if I get this:

USB Aux in ipod Interface Adaptor for Hyundai on eBay (end time 04-Sep-10 16:51:56 BST)

and plug in to the C3 - 8 pin connector of i10 stock HU, will that be compatible and add USB support?

I like the way the stock HU looks and integrates with the car - just want to add USB support.

Hey,

So did you finally upgrade to a Carputer?
What kind of ICE setup do you currently run?

I should be getting mine soon!

Oh no! Sorry for the ambiguity.. I meant I am getting the car soon!
Carpc will come once I can convince the folks for the moolah! :P

Those look real neat, how much will it work out to get them to India?

Btw, if you change the HU, what all would you loose out on? (like steering audio, that little information display screen in the center?)

The Steering audio will be an easy fix, but the other display?

^^Rs.22000/- and shipping free through DHL

You will loose the MID Display for song name but you can view the song name through th HU screen. Its retains the Steering controls.

Whoa!!

That looks real sweet!

Count me in if you are getting this! This'll definitely transform the i20 into a super awesome hatch!

(It would've been more awesome if it was able to read the OBD data too!)

Hmm! Looks like an interesting option!

No Pre-outs though if your planning to amp the speakers :(

Any idea how the song information goes to the MID?

I tried looking at the different pin-outs from your attached image, but didn't see any LCD interface or anything of that kind..
