Need help on ICE for Accent

Hi Guys,

I am currently using following ICE,

HU: Sony Xplode VCD with AUX
Front speakers: Poineer oval
Rare speakers: Poineer Conical
Sub woofer: Sony Xplode
Amp: Alpine (2way)

I was satisfied with the sound qality of HU and 4 speakers but always wanted that thump in my car so I got myself Sony Xplode sub and Alpine (2 way) Amp on suggestion of dealer... However I am not too happy with the outcome of the project as the thump is missing :(

I usually connect my Ipod or Mobile bluetooth to listen to songs and Sub has been installed in wooden trey at rare...

My questions:

Will installing sub in box and keeping it in boot will help???
Is the combination of HU+sub+amp is wrong???
Do I need to upgrade any other componant???

Please Help.....
