guys, nice mods, but why would one want a PC in the car unless:

1. It gives me real time info about my engine as well as the road speed etc etc. I too have 2 junk motherboards lying at home.

Got ideas guys, I'm not into surfing the net while on the move, but would like more realtime information and data logging.

And I drive most of the time!

Depending on what you drive, Your engine stats and road speeds can be displayed. I use my carputer for n number of purposes, Mainly for media purpose and for killing time in parkinglots and when some one else is driving

I'm using centrafuse 2.0 cause i dit like 3.0 much. I find 2.0 better than 3.0 in both looks and access ways. maybe cause I'm used to 2.0

Laptop doesnt provide a touchscreen interface which is very important and handy while your on a drive. and more over mounting a laptop on the dashboard everytime you get in a car is a very hectic job.i mea ncabling, audio outputs etc etc...

Wii is indeed fun, but is it feasible for the 800? I remember playing wii in my friends house and we were jumping all about, i know it requires only the wrist. But its more fun jumping around :P

I agree that Wii is more fun when you keep jumping around
Even in my case it is possible but for that you need to open my boot nad install a 15" monitor for better gaming.
lol, I compromised the jumping part as i have a small monitor. If budget permits, I'll surely get a bigger screen

That is also an option but I'm wondeing how to power it throgh my battery. I can poser it through a cigarette lighter inverter but that'll screw my battery to the core. My battery is already crying to handle things which I installed till date .

Install another battery specifically for the monitor? Dont get me wrong but you dont need more computer parts in your car. Its Perfect as it is. Dont overkill it.

If i think of getting a 17" monitor for my ride, Then for sure I'll get a seperate battery for it

I'm going to get a graphic card + a5.1 sound card and that'll be the last upgrade on my carputer. (hopefully)
