Where to put the speakers?

Hi,

I am really interested in knowing, where can i fix my spearkers to get the best quality?

Speakers can be fixed on a tray, in the doors or there can be boxed speakers.

Which one is going to give the best output?

It would help us to know which car are you asking these questions for? Is it for your i10 or is it a generic question?

Sid, it depends upon what speakers you have.

1. Components can be fixed in Front doors
2. Co-axials/Sub woofers can be fixed in the tray
3. Sub-woofers can also be fixed in box and you can put it on the boot.

OT: Im in bench and jobless

Cheers,
L&S

If it's for your ritz, you can use 6" speakers on your doors.

Yes,Its for my i10. Although would like to know how it goes in general too.

Not sure if box speakers present the best euphoria. But for a car like i10 its a problem to compromise the already small luggage space.

Front speakers in doors or dash.

Rear speakers preferably in the doors, but where it is not possible (like 6X9s), parcel tray.
I am not a fan of putting speakers in boxes.

I feel that door speakers can save space but do not have good output, while boxes are going to shrink the luggage space.

I would like to go for speakers on a tray. Please advise.

Hi Falcon,

If you can stretch ur Budget to 12k then the best is Kenwood 543 with USB port and Ken wood 4 Nos 2 way spekers all in front rear doors. They are the best combination. I did after a reasearch It does works vey well. 4" will not fit either door.

It is not needed to set up amp. As you are in Bangalore I could not help you. Other wise I could demo my car to you. Yesterday one of our Chennai BHPians had a look and auditioned and he was quite happy with my ice.

The JBL GTO608C will give you some awesome bang for the buck. I was amazed by the speakers when a friend had it installed. I strongly suggest you this, but you will need a amplifier to run the components. The components will give you a very different listening experience compared to the co-axials, once you listen to them you will know.

Happy ICE'ing
