Get the 5750. I use it and it is a beautiful HU. I use the JBL 426 and 936s too. Awesome bass from the ovals. But the 426's have angled tweeters. So, placing them correctly is the key to getting a good sweet spot. And of course an amp is a worthy investment.

Good wiring is essential, particularly in the case of RCA interconnects and speaker wire. Get the best ones you can afford. Check out Belden, Monster, Audison (pricey but quality stuff) and Boss (budget). DIY them if you are in the mood for it.
