MP3 Player for Santro Xing

Hey guys... I gonna get my new Santro Xing this week... Can u recommend a suitable mp3 player and coaxial speakers for it...

Wat wud be a better choice Pioneer 5650 or Sony 5550? I am thinking of getting 3 way speakers... wat would be a better choice?
I am very much confused over sony or pioneer.... which has better clarity... i dont need high decibels... but only clarity...

Where shud i place my speakers for good effect... will two speakers at the rear do?

My budget is around 10k+

hhhmm..at 10k ur best buy would be a sony 5510 or a pioneer 5650..its ur pick on this..as far as the speakers are conserned u can go in for 4'' coaxials at the front and 6x9's at the rear..one thing we always tell u is dont go by the 3-way,4-way,5-way gimmick..u can get these speakers preferably from pioneer..if u can stretch ur budget a bit then u can get good speakers from JBL,hertz, alpine and blaupunkt..also use a good 1k for good cabling..if u can stretch it a bit u can add components in the front with some slight mods to ur front door..as JK has suggested id say look at the other threads too and ul have a fair idea..

Thank u guys... I think I'll go for JBL speakers...
But i read some where sony decks have lens problem due to bad quality of cds played... is it true? i guessed sony would be a better choice for mp3 coz they are in the CD ROM field...

Pioneer has a big brand image in car audio... is it good in case of mp3 also?

well ya one has heard a lot of sony having problems with their lenses but i have been using a sony 5510 since almost 1.5yrs and yet have no problems with it whatsoever..and more over i normally use sony cd-r or sony rws only most of the time..

but the pioneer HUs do seem to have a lot of reliability..and they play the music very well too,i mean to say mp3 too..but the only difference between the sonys and the pioneers being that the pioneers have better options u can tinker around with and also slightly better displays..thats what made me shift from a sony to a pioneer HU and im impressed with it..

Buy the Pioneer they are VFM and have all the features you will need from a mid-level HU. They are reliable too.

1. yup thats a good setup buddy and surely is good VFM..of lately we all seem to have forgotten what VFM stands for with all the requests for some high-end setups..thanks for reminding us..
2.well i was a ferrari fan up until sometime back..but was however very impressed by rons strategies even when they had DC and mika doing a fab work..but the ferrari overdominance got me wanting to look at another team and with kimi in hot action for the past two years have finally become a ardent mclaren fan..
3. i think there are a few restrictions as to ur posting being a newbie in a few sections on the forum..pls read the announcement section and ul figure out those restrications..

Thanx ya for the guidance... but i got one more doubt now... i read in this forums that it is better to go for pioneer 4650 instead of 5650 coz 5650 is useful only if i use sub woofer (which i dont). Is it true? will the quality of playing be same in both these HUs? What are the prices of these two sets? In specs i saw that 5650 as multi colour display but the 4650 has only blue backlit display... so if diff in cost is little, i will go for 5650 itself else i have to chose 4650. My doubt is whether the 4650 had any specific problems or is it as good as 5650 in terms of audio quality... pls help out...

The 4650 and the 5650 are the older series.

I have recent pricing of the new series of HU's. the 4750 is rs.5700 and the 5750 is rs.7000. Thats a difference of 1300 only. The 4750 has 1 pre-out against the 5750's 3 preouts. Which you will require only when you are adding amplifiers and subs.

Its upto you to decide which one you want. You should take a listen to both before deciding if thats possible.
