I am sorry navin. Can you please explain little bit more? Are you saying that it is recommended to use 2 channels to drive front speakers also?

What he meant that u can bridge 2 ch of sony amp to power single subw and 2 ch can be then used for either front or rear.
Out of these two, front shud be given preference over rear [if u want to power front OR rear & NOT both]as u sit and drive from front where sound stage is more important.

ha ha ... i've been playing with audio for about 30 years and never had any illusion about making it a business. the market in india is very small and what little is left post video boom concentrates on Bose look-a-like systems.

Fortunately my academic qualifications allow me to something other than audio for a living. BTW I know quite a few docs who are interested in audio the oldest being my 87 yr old aunt. She had old fisher valve amps, AR speakers, and a garrad turntable whay back in the late 50s.

Hi Audio Gurus..... help needed again please..... :(

I am not getting proper bass effect in my Sub. I am not sure of how to tune the Amp settings. I have Blaupunkt GTA 270 Amp connected to a Kenwood KFC-W3009 Sub-woofer. Please let me know what will be the best setting here.

yes it is bridged. I am facing with jarring effect. If i increase the bass boost it jarrs a lot and if i decrease the nass is very soft.

I can see the following adjustments in my Amp. What does these things actaully does? If i change Low-pass to high end 250HZ what will be the change in effect? and please explain the other things also.
Low-pass filter 50 - 250 Hz (12dB/Oktav)
High-pass filter 50 - 250 Hz (12dB/Oktav)
Bass Boost 0 - 12dB at 45 Hz

1. is there anything else vibrating but the woofer?
2. if it only the woofer that vibrating i suspect the woofer is being pushed beyond it's physical limits. which means you'll need a better woofer.
