Re: My Tiny Requires a New SQ Sub

For your budget and considering that u'll need an enclosure as well, Rockford Forgate Punch P10 would work best. Since its an 800 the size wont make too much of a difference, except for marginally lowering the low-end frequency range by ~5Hz or so.

You can consider downsizing the ID Sub as well if it falls witin your budget. ID 8" subs are quite capable and you might just be surprised the kind of output they pelt out. I have heard both the 8" and 10" working on RF amps and trust me they can go real low.

I myself have an RF 8" in wife's indica and RF 10" in my Manza both sealed and pretty happy with them.

Hope this helps. Good luck with your hunt for the sub.

Re: My Tiny Requires a New SQ Sub

I'd suggest you to get ID CTX sub. Its VFM. If your budget doesn't allows you then I'd say you to wait for another 1k and spent one time on good thing.

Re: My Tiny Requires a New SQ Sub

Hey guys
sorry to bring this up again but I thought about it and waited to collect more money
so now the budget is revised to 8-9.5k with box

Now the issue is I am not getting an ID CTX for below 11k but people on forum said is it available for at the max 9-10k is it so?
and my installer quoted me 10.5k for ID CTX 10" and he said that 8" will be on a less bass type it will act as a good midbass but low end would be missing, is it so?
and any other subs in this price brackt?

and please can anyone explain me the relation between sub size and frequency response?
Is it so that a sub with lower response frequency can go real low and produce the thundering type of effect?
for eg. the thundering effect present in the song Wake me up Inside in the first 5-7secs of it.

Re: My Tiny Requires a New SQ Sub

The other good option is Infinity Kappa 120.9, a complete SQ sub much better than compared to the others available in the price bracket. It's plays low and tight and is wee bit louder than the IDQv3.

Re: My Tiny Requires a New SQ Sub

PM T-BHP folks around in Mumbai, Ajay/B&T/ramie2400 and they will tell you what works best within your budget... and maybe you could get to audition a couple of them before you have em installed.
