SML Isuzu @ 2013 International Bus & Utility Vehicle Show, Noida

SML Isuzu basically has two types of products. One they are older regular products under SML brand and newer products are made by Isuzu and are branded as Isuzu.

FR 1318 - AC
This might be a nearest answer to 210" Viking and LPO1512/52. But this has a 4 cylinder producing 170 hp instead of competition's 6 cylinder versions. This had parabolic suspension at front and air suspension at rear.

Under SML it was T3500

Mahindra @ 2013 International Bus & Utility Vehicle Show, Noida

Mahindra had only Tourister 32. It had Mahindra Navistar logo but leaflet showed only Mahindra, also Tourister now smiles lesser than their truck range - the bugs bunny grill size is reduced to acceptable level.

Apart from this Maxximo and Quanto was displayed.

Re: The 2013 International Bus & Utility Vehicle Show, Noida

Thanks for the pictures and details, looks like you have visited the show.
Janbus looks promising, Divo is not going anywhere (also looks outdated), Starbus Ultra looks good, hope ISUZU 1318 is available as chassis alone, liked the bugs bunny part and completely agree on the same.

Re: The 2013 International Bus & Utility Vehicle Show, Noida

Good to see the Janbus midi sporting some fresh frontage. Hoping to see it make good volumes, and really hope AshLey doesn't fail to market and sell these products, unlike the old Sitibus, Luxura etc.

The TM stall has everything in CV space! So does the Force motors stall

Thanks a lot for the pictures and the details, Ashley2.

Re: New Tata MCV buses launched @ SIAM Bus & Utility Vehicle Show, Noida

I personally feel the TATA buses have lost their charm.

Even the latest models running here in Bangalore (BMTC) look grossly under powered and way too noisy! The rear engine Marcopolo (Orange ones) buses sound so very coarse and guess they have almost disappeared from the roads!

Re: The 2013 International Bus & Utility Vehicle Show, Noida

No wonder there a number of Isuzu's on road. M & M must hire a designer to make their CVs look less ugly.

Janbus is promising and it seems AL has a winner here.

Re: The 2013 International Bus & Utility Vehicle Show, Noida

Why ACGL buses are not preferred by domestic fleet (e.g. BMTC/KSRTC) ?
They seemingly have much better looks and build quality. I see lot many Army buses built by ACGL though.

Is this by any chance the elusive Janbus of Ashok Leyland?

Hello all,

On my way back from work tonight, i happened to see this bus which was on a trailer to be unloaded at AL Yard Cochin. Sorry for the poor quality pic that i could take but is this a Jan bus by any chance?

This is Janbus only and should have been there for demo to KeSRTC.

So, shall I assume the one I saw on Hosur road a couple of days ago, was being given to BMTC for trials?

I saw in an FB group that someone saw a "white, low-floor, air-conditioned Ashok Leyland bus" inside Tvm city with For Regn plates. The post says:

Chased a white colour Leyland AC low floor from technopark to kazakkuttam junction.
Could this be the same one you saw in Kochi?
