Isuzu only had one vehicle on display at the 2015 Bus & Special Vehicle Expo, yet it was quite the attention grabber. The model in question is Isuzu's mobile service vehicle based on the D-Max space cab arched deck.

Like the D-Max, the hard canopy too comes in from Thailand. I spoke with the general manager of Isuzu communications, Mr. Shankar Srinivas, and he was open to the idea of giving such additions at the dealership level:

The covered storage bay with tubs of oil, lubricants, pans and other such service equipment to show the car's potential. It is at the end of the day a commercial vehicle, but Isuzu wants to portray it as a product with more than one personality. Isuzu says the D-Max Space Cab is one of the most preferred "owner driven" pickups:
Notice the liner on the tail-gate & bed for protection (it wasn't there in TSK1979's test-drive vehicle). Tail-gate works as a supportive loading lip. Officials at the stall added that they have a couple of biking enthusiasts on their customer list:

Door panel/dashboard plastics are similar to that of hatchbacks. While they aren't premium, they definitely exude a feeling of sturdiness:

Isuzu's dealer network remains tiny. Local production at the brand's plant in Sri City (near Chennai) will begin by mid-2016. Once localization is in full swing, Isuzu will get their pickups into the mainstream, and passenger vehicle spec variants will be launched. Simply put, sometime in the next 2-3 years, a CV license will no longer get in the way of buyers who want a D-Max:
